Site Software Update
We have updated our software! This was a major revision change, and, unfortunately, our custom design was incompatible with it.
So, until I can get a new one made, we have to use the software's default style.
I know it doesn't look very "Star Fox," but don't worry, I am working on a new look!

Oops...
We had a database mishap. Some images and stuff are not available right now. I will get them up as soon as I can.

Coming Soon: The SF-O CCI (Community Content In...
Announcing the StarFox-Online Community Content Initiative (CCI)!
What is the CCI?
The CCI is a community-based content generation plan for creating content for the main site. What does that mean? I means that you (if you're a registered member) can write articles and/or pages that will be published, after staff review, on the main page!
Why CCI?
SFO is currently the top-ranked Star Fox fansite on Google. That's great, but in seriousness, it says more about the current state of the fanbase than it says about us.
What do other top fansites have that we don't?
In-depth content. Currently, our content is a slight overview. We have some trivial information and general game information. We need more. We need character information, a good writeup on the canon, and game help.
The goal is to make SFO the one-stop-shop for everything Star Fox. Need help with a SF game, We'll have it. Question about Wolf O'Donnel? We'll have the answer. Want to share a fanfic? We'll accommodate.
How will CCI work?
I still need to work-out the technical details, but it will involve submitting your writeups for review either by myself or by a new staff position, an editor. Once accepted, they will be published in the appropriate section. It will probably be based on the IP.Content article system, which can automate these things.
When will CCI start?
Hopefully within the next couple of weeks. I need to get the media section back online first. That is turning out to be a big project, so I need to scale that back. Probably back to static pages until I can figure something out.
What kind of content do we want?
Anything! But, there are priorities: Character bios, Vehicle info, Story guides, and game guides are the primary concerns at the start. There will be some quality standards, of course. The only for sure's on that right now are must be written with good grammar and all information must be truly canon. The final standard will be detailed when the CCI kicks-off.

Gallery Migration Complete
The Gallery has now been completely migrated to IP.Gallery.
You can access it via http://gallery.starfox-online.net as well as by clicking the "Gallery" button on the main navigation menu above.
School has dumped a ton of work on me in the past couple of weeks, so I was not able to work on the media file engine, and won't be able to until after Final Exams. That's about two and-a-half weeks away.
My sincerest apologies. I will look into the feasibility of temporary static pages in the next couple of days so that the media is not down for another three-plus weeks.

Site move progress report
Things are starting to come together. The more recent articles have been restored, as have the major game pages.
Minor game pages and the gallery will be the next things to come back.
Media, such as the voice acting and music, will come back soon. I am converting it to be database-based instead of static pages. This will allow searching and other good stuff. It will also make adding more media later easier.
There is some php code to be written for this a lot of data entry here, so it will take a week or two to get that all back up. You can still listen to our music collection at the SFO Jukebox.
Once the music is back online, the jukebox will be taken down, as IPB's media tag makes it possible to include this functionality on the media pages themselves.

Site Redesign
First, I would like to take a moment to thank Mr. Krystal for the work he had done for SF-O. The Wordpress site layout, which has served us for quite some time, was his creation and is a very fine piece of Web Authoring Craftsmanship.
As great as that design was, there is something in the vision I have for SF-O that Wordpress system cannot accomplish very well: Integrated Community. This is, of course, no fault of Mr. Krystal. It is an inevitability of using different software packages to accomplish different things.
Today's internet is all about social interaction and community. SF-O, in my belief, is where it is because of our community, but the community is not connected to the site. Integration will allow for single-sign-on for all areas of the site, and will provide for SF-O members to better comment on articles as well as other parts of the site, and also to have more opportunities to contribute. It will also provide a consistent look for the site across all functions.
Content restoration will be a top priority, so if all goes well you won't be looking at a "WE JUST MOVED!!!" page with no content for very long (hours at most).
There will likely be some CSS hiccups as I merge the forums and site themes, but they should be minor and I will fix them ASAP.
