...Wow. I never quite expected this to be completely honest, though I'm thrilled at the opportunities that I have to give back to the place that has allowed me to reap its benefits for quite some time now. Thank you to the staff and the userbase, and let's welcome a new life to the RP section!
[What happens now, exactly?

To Crazy: I'm sorry buddy, as great as it is that you were selected, I don't feel it was the best choice for the subforum. You were a very active RPer, and very very active on the forum, but I have seen certain people on the site who are very much more available to, well, moderate. I know you have heart, and I know you would have the subforum's best interest at heart, but you just don't RP anymore. I've seen a few posts from you here and there, but since the summer of 2010, you've declined in activity, and in availability. I believe an RP mod should be available at most of the active hours of the board, and be reachable at any time. You've got heart, but through my observation, I haven't seen the activity or availability on the RP board.

(Kind of like me, I am constantly on SFO but I only post once in a while…)
Although he is a little… "crazy".
So just so you know, I'm supporting you 100%.

Kage, to call anyone an asshole because they are simply voicing their concerns and opinions is a bit of an asshole move in itself, isn't it? [Asshole-ception, if you will.

Thanks for the clarification, Icy; it's not only being active that counts in the RP section though that is most definitely an instrumental part of it. I've said it once and I'll say it again; give me the chance to prove you wrong and I'll do it to the best of my ability! Not to mention that I'm signed on to two RPs at this moment.

Then that's something I hope to rectify in the near future; it just so happens that I signed aboard two RPs (Those being Gene's revival as well as Fluxy's) a few days before this topic came into being. I can definitely say that I have not devoted as much attention to the RP board as I used to, but that is sure to change if I am appointed. And when I'm at home (at the timeframes listed above) I always have SF-O open in at least one tab and check back every two minutes or so. I understand that issue-solving will be something that has to be taken into consideration, but it is just not possible to have every little commotion solved immediately. I assure you I'll give it my all during the 7+ hours that I am available, however.
And visibility is also a problem that can be corrected; a simple update thread in the main directory of the RP board; take Julius' for example.

I will admit to empathising with some of Arash's concerns, but I fully respect the administrators' decision (which I trust wouldn't have been made without good reason), and I wish you the best of luck going forward Crazy.
Take care of yourself now.

Thank you, chaos_Leader, and the only thing I can really do is assure you that these concerns will be looked at with scrutiny; I will strive to meet and succeed all requirements asked of me and I hope I have the opportunity to effectively manage the section.
Once again, thank you for all of the input everyone; especially you, Kage. If I do indeed attain this position I'll be sure to modify my schedule or do what I have to for better accomodation of the board and its prosperity.

The idea of getting this position is clearly different than you are saying, Kage. Now then, Yes, Crazy isn't on as much as, say, you or someone else, but he is on enough to check things decently well, and not only that, but he looks at more than just the RP section too. He does that, and even posts multiple places -proving- his activity isn't only for a few sections, which encourages the thought that he -does- read through multiple topics. This is what the RP mod -needs- to do. Read through topics and, no matter how boring they are, consider if they need to step in or not. Crazy reads all the topics, well, most at the very least.
He also has shown to learn and ask questions. When Crazy is told something he could improve on, or something that he shouldn't have done, he's smart enough to take the initiative and say, "You know, you're right" and then improve, and also smart enough to say, "You know, that's not right" then proceeding to explain his point. AKA: Something any mod also needs. The ability to accept being wrong, and not just take side steps away from it.
Now then, Crazy is very nice and sensitive; something that -could- hinder his moderation skills. BUT, the idea of being hired on in any job or position isn't that you are going to be the best right away, but that you have the ability to rise to what will be asked of you. It might take a little bit for him to put aside that part of him at times, I don't know. But Crazy definitely deserves that chance to prove it, just like any other person who would've gotten picked.
At the idea that he isn't on all the time; -None- of the mods are always on. This is something all the mods can admit to. The idea of a Mod is to step in when no one is obeying the rules or doing the general member rule of 'If someone is being a troll, don't feed him', or in this case 'If someone is doing something bad in an RP, don't encourage it by any means'. For the RP mod, if Crazy is on a decent amount of time, showing his presence, and -truly- unable to stop all the crap that might be going on; then one of two things are happening. A] When He's on, nothing happens, and then when he's off, it happens. Meaning he has to do clean up when he is next on. OR B] The RP section just chooses to disobey the rules, even with Crazy being on. The solution to this? I can assure you it won't be anouther mod. it'll be to take down the RP section because if no one can do their own little looking out for each other, then we don't -deserve- a Role Playing section. Period.
Now then. I voted for Crazy because I know he can rise to what he is needed to do, and that it if it truly is too much for him, that he'll have the dignity to say, "I'm having a little trouble doing this" which'll mean he'll resign if he truly can't handle it, thus getting someone else, or that the other mods will help him in ways to rise to the challenges he has. Either way, making a more than qualified Moderator.
