I'm starting up a streaming channel for SF-O's Team Fortress 2 server and I have this poll for how I want to go about this.
I mostly just want to have a recording of our gamenights for the sake of it. I think it would be cool to have a log of gaming vids of our server.
Right now I am thinking of using FRAPS for high quality recordings and using Livestream as a easy place to store and play said recordings, with the caveat of them not being live. However if there is some interest and people want to see this stuff as it's happening, I can broadcast a live stream no problem. Right now it's a matter of learning how to work the player to maintain a quality recording for live broadcasts.
It would be really great to get an audience for this and it's an equally great way to promote both the server and the site itself.

Yes and no.
Now I am not saying you shouldn't go through with this,I just probably wouldn't watch it. I don't really pay much attention to this sort of thing.

Seems that way.
I going with this, mostly because it's surprisingly simple and I finally got the recording up to a good quality. Some more fine tuning and hoping my bandwidth stays stable, and I might record is clear enough to read the ingame chat :U
Also, my recording has the perk of being LIVE, so if anyone heads off early and I'm still in there, anyone can drop into my channel and still watch.
