Fileden.com is being flagged as a malware distribution site by pretty much all modern browsers, and some browsers, including Chrome, are blocking SFO entirely due to the cross-linked content. If I find any user accounts pulling a file from this domain, I will remove that file. Even if it is your sig or avatar.

There are other image hosts out there. Imageshack, Flikr, tinypic, imgur, etc. These do not get flagged as malicious sites.

EDIT: By the way, what's happening with FileDen?
EDIT2: Okay, after a quick google search, I found the problem. It's not site itself, but the fact that everyone can upload everything on it and looks like they found a lot of malicious softwares. From what I'm reading, those malicious softwares can download themselves on your computer without your consent.
Yep, things going straight into your computer, from FileDen, without your permission.
Really, that sucks.
EDIT3: I don't think that opening an harmless file from FileDen is gonna make your computer asplode by the way. Those malwares can be downloaded only if you're browsing on their pages... or... this is actually what I read. Can someone confirm what I said?

The facebook 'like' button does that too. More spyware then malware though.

that usually happen when people are not careful enough, and many people are not careful.

I think you were talking about "drive by download" or maybe "exploit" because those are the thing i know that it will download into your system and execute itself i never messed around with it much so yeah...

Photobucket is definitely easiest to use. It supports Facebook login so you don't even have to register an account.

Im not sure if there is a Photo-Upload limit but I have 100+ images on there for free.

It may be that not ever file on fileden is infected, but since some browsers are blocking any site that links to a file on fileden as well, then we can't have it. Last thing I want is SFO getting a reputation for that kind of shit.

You are overracting a bit it sounds like. Banning a site for possable malware, fair enough. What does that have to do with reputation?

Browser flags it as malware, and then people tell their friends.

This isn't over-reacting. I have seen it happen before.

Have always used photobucket, so that won't be an issue. in any case though; thanks for the helpful warning about that DZ.
