Alright peeps, due to recent events, we need to throw new rules for the well keeping of our Commlink.

So far, we are going to implement a 3 strike system on the commlink:
1.-48hours ban
2.-week ban
3.-perma ban

No questions asked, no arranges permitted.

So far, EVERYONE that has been warned and has the so called "arrangements" with the staff will revert to strike 1, meaning that you guys have 2 more chances or you are out.
DZ and I are being REALLY lenient with this, as we could have used the tiny ban hammer, designed for the commlink. DO remember, the commlink is part of SFO, so watch out for the rules, because a GRAVE action can get you kicked out from the forum as well.The staff is entitled to instantly perma ban someone from the commlink if the aggression is bad enough. Linking Porn is an example of a GRAVE action.

If we have the need to add more rules, designed specially for the commlink, we will add them here.

PLEASE, remember, stirring up more drama on top of the drama that we are currently dealing with may get you a strike, let the staff folks deal with the issue. In other words, it's better if you keep yourself silent while the staff does the job. If you think that the staff is doing a bad job solving the problem, pm said mod or me.

I would like to explain further how important it is that others must refrain from using the shout box while the staff tackle the drama. It is very, very difficult to try and deal with someone when the shout box is constantly getting filled with other messages.

So in future, if a staff member asks everyone to be silent while they deal with drama, please do that. If you flatly refuse and make the staff member's job even more difficult, that can count as spamming, and if it is me that you are spamming, you will recieve a warning. I'm not sure how anyone else will deal with it, but I myself prefer to be stern in the shout box: not too long ago, I was trying to deal with not a drama emergency, but a medical one. And a few members actually refused to stop messaging, which made it hard for me to communicate with the person who needed my help. I won't tolerate that again. I hope you can understand my frustration.

It is essential that the staff keep the shout box free from drama so that we can continue having it.

Question here for Red then, since she was the one who brought it up.

What if it is obvious that the mod's methods of dealing with seemingly medical, or drama, situations are simply the wrong path. What do we do then, because I know in the past the wrong way to go about things have been done, and I had to give the mod some advice on the issue.

Sure, we are to trust the mods to moderate and all, but everyone here can attest, even every mod and admin, that not all the mods are suited for every situation on the forum. What do those, who can see what is the right course of action to do, do when they see they can truly assist in a good way?

Well, if you have advice for the mod or think you can help, simply say so. Or say "I'm PMing you" and tell them via PM if the shout box is too busy. I'm hoping that the mod doing the moderating then can take it upon themselves to listen to a member that has something to say. It really depends on what's happening, who the mod is, and how they think they can help. I'm sure all the staff here are open to help, you just need to say so.

When I said silence in the shout box, I meant like, only speak up if you can actually help. Otherwise just let us do our job then we can get back to shout box srs bsns. XD

Is there special requirements to use the Commlink? I remember that you had to be like only 24 hours old, I'm like over a week old and still can't use the Commlink.

Let me clarify then, you need 5 posts that *count*. Basically any posts except for ones made in the Rec Room. Right now you have 3 posts (under your rank insignia) and the other 7 are in the Rec Room.
