I thought their value were recalculated daily, and nothing happened today (it's been more than 24 hours huh!).
May we have a bit more information about how they work?

hmm, that does put things out of whack. I was planning on opening a stock relying on my postings, once i got to 2 grand. hmm most interesting. Would people actually invest in it, that is the question (seeing as you mentioned strategies, i thought i'd ask teh question here)

By the way, it'd be rather practical to have some fancy charts and graphics to assess someone's activity before investing in him/her (like today's, over the 3 last days, the last week, etc...), or is it the kind of information only admins have access to? :3

Hehe! Anyways make more virtual money by buying low and sell high! Especially when one particular stock that functions randomly BLT! So who knows when to sell and when to buy?

Thanks for the copy-paste, but that doesn't explain why stock prices (on the SFP at least) haven't moved since the beginning of SFOconomy... XD

Actually some has changed. Bought some stocks in Space Dynamics at 50 a piece. Now, they've dropped to 48 a piece. Not the movement I was hoping for, but movement none the less!

EDIT: The script doesn't move the stock for three cycles after it is created so it can establish a baseline.

Maybe the system was intended to much larger structures and the -I believe- activity increase from yesterday was just not enough to move the stock value...

No, the mod hasn't established a baseline of activity yet. It can't calculate what's a good day and what's a bad day without that information.

I guess that answers our questions for the stock price changes. I'm kinda confused about it still but I'll figure it out more later. Thanks DZ for the knowledge on that.

Well I formed my own strategy how to make some short term gains in the SFOConomy stock market. The random stocks. Simply buy the shares at low range and sell high. I've been focusing on SDY Space Dynamics. and I've made some credits out of it. I like that stock.
