So I noticed some of you liked the auto-assign plugin, but the others didn't. While it may get the axe later, we the SF-O TF2 users should decide if the plugin should be used later on in game nights. Please be sure to give an explaination on why you voted yes or no.

To avoid a little confusion, please vote only if you have visited the SF-O TF2 server.

I said this before but I like the challenge auto assign provides and it makes the teams more fair and forces us to play against players we would rather have on our own team.

While pondering the matter a bit, it's probably not the best perma option for the server but would I want it to be brought back occassionally as some sort of "weekly changes" program? Absolutely.

Personally Auto-Assign sounds fun because it takes away that element of safety knowing you can join the team the power players join. Don't get me wrong, I want to be on the same team as Firebug as much as the next man and I would love to top the scoreboards with Sassy Gay Medic again but I also like to see what every player is made of and not be always on the same team with the same poeple. Also it's better to have an auto-balance-y feature at the beginning of the game rather than the middle of it.

I dislike it. Team stacking isnt as big a deal of some of us make it out to be, and I like being able to choose my team as well, because I like to play on the same team as a select few of my TF2 buddies (namely Milky or Fureox).

I think auto assign is frustrating because it might stack teams even more. I like to join the team where some of my friends are on. It provides with better communication and more fun. But as user said i would also like it to come back every once in a while to mix it up.

I try to join the team I gauge as having the disadvantage anyway. All random teams will do is make it so whether or not we're "stacked" or not is 100% luck of the draw (as it usually is anyway, so what's the point?)

I like it because of the same reason User said; it makes us play against people we tend to team with. Shame there isn't a way to have it just auto assign the first few people. Makes no difference to me whether or not we have it, so I'm going to withhold my vote.

while auto-assign certainly isn't a permanent solution, i do think it'll make a decent holdover till something better is found.

Know what the -good- permanent solution is? Not cramming yourself up another player's ass. I play against Fureox sometimes, and I play WITH fureox sometimes. Some matches I duel with DZ, and others we are shooting down the same chokepoint at our enemies. Sometimes I bro up and protect Rob's nest, and sometimes I splatter him over the walls.

It's called actually picking a team instead of just going where your bestie is every single time like a baby whose afraid he'll lose if he doesn't.

On that note, auto assign is good, I just hate having the freedom to choose taken away from me when I DO need it (say, it sticks me on the same team as Fureox AND DZ)

People will bitch about it regardless of what I do, so I don't plan on changing anything at this point.

As far as the server config goes, I won't be making anymore changes other than small tweaks I deem necessary and software/plugin updates.

No point in going through the hassle if people still will be unhappy.

Let me remind you: This server is expensive, and I am not asking for donations for it. Also, maintaining it takes a little bit of time every week. I find it worth it because I like having a small community of people that are closer to play with than always playing at No Heroes which is too big to have that sense of community. If we're going to let petty shit spoil the mood to the point where I don't feel it is worth the time, effort, and/or money, then I will stop hosting the server.

Yes, raging from time to time is part of online gaming, but when casual raging turns to annoying whining and bitching, fuck it. Grow up.
