Zero_Maniac
I'm just curious, because apparently SF643D was the last chance for the franchise, and it only sold .56 million copies... I bought SF643D of course, to support the franchise, but I don't know if we'll ever see another Star Fox game made by Nintendo again =(
unoservix
no Star Fox is over. all copies of the games will be confiscated by ninjas and put into a great big pile on Shigeru Miyamoto's lawn, where he will burn them in a giant bonfire and as you watch him on the stage, your hands will clench in fists of rage, 'cuz no angel born in hell can break Nintendo's spell, and as the flames climb high into the night to light the sacrificial rite, you'll see Nintendo laughing with delight, the day that Star Fox died and then they'll start singing "byyyyyye bye, the whole Star Fox franchise, thought the 3DS would save you but the money's run dry, the furry fandom's drinkin' whiskey and rye, singin' 'this'll be the day Krystal dies, this'll be the day Krystal dies'" meanwhile, all Star Fox fans will be transferred over to a new game, Justin Bieber Adventures. help Justin Bieber through twenty exciting levels as he croons and mewls on stage about unrequited love, impregnates older women, and flails about with a cowbell!

Prince Elite
Apparently they're thinking, just thinking mind you, of making one for the Wii-U. It could fall through.

DZComposer
SF643D did not sell as badly as you think. Numbers without context mean nothing. SF643D came out when sales for the 3DS were not doing so well, and at the time ONLY OOT had eclipsed the 1 million mark. So, compared to 3DS games as a whole, SF643D didn't do too badly. It wasn't a blockbuster, but hey, it was a port of a second-tier game. Expecting it to keep pace with OoT is a flawed expectation, as OoT is regarded as the best game in Nintendo's top franchise. The state of 3DS hardware sales has more to do with that number. Now that the thing is actually selling, games for it will sell more. SF643D came out too early to catch the wave, so it probably won't have a sudden-million surge, but given the climate it dropped in, I don't see how it could have done better. Online play, however, may have helped it, but we'll never know.
sjrathbun812
Actually I've wondered this, too...I don't think that it sold to badly, but where is Nintendo going to go with the franchise next? I suppose they could make some game for the Wii U... but... ...I just hope they don't make another port/remake. (Not saying SF64 3D was bad or anything.) Ellanie
I highly doubt it, too. As DZComposer said, the game did rather well considering the circumstances. Plus, Star Fox as a franchise has been a painfully slow mover. While it's surely possible that a early WiiU title could come from the franchise (which I personally hope they do), we really shouldn't expect a shiny new game tp gawk at for a few years, whatever system it hits. Roonifer
I've already mourned over the loss of Star Fox. To me, it's officially dead. Sure, the upcoming Wii U might show us a new Star Fox game, but I find it highly unlikely. Sure, they're "thinking" about it. But this is exactly what they said when the Wii came out. Maybe there is some hope though. A year or so after Command came out, I read an interview with the head of Q-Games, who said he didn't think they were going to work on another Star Fox game. But years later, they and Nintendo pooped out Star Fox 64 3D.
