It takes place in the post apocalyptic future where EArths population was culled and Giant Aliens attack Earth inorder to extinct us. The only people in their way is an orginization known as NERV and their giant robots, or Evangelions. The series is touted as one of the most influencial in the development of other shows. The truth? Evangelion is batShit crazy with tonnes of Angst slathered around a deconstruction of the Giant robot genre. The series shifts from bad to worse and only gets more angst ridden as time goes on.
