Whitney Houston Found Dead

It is a sad thing to hear, they have not released how she died officially yet. From the information they have released it seems she passed away at the hotel she was staying at before a pre-grammy party.

I'm pretty sure I read an article recently reporting how she was seen leaving a party with bloodmarks on her wrists and legs. It was suspected that she had been taking drugs that night.

I don't know much of her or her music, to be honest, but I do know a lot of people loved her for her music and all. It is always sad to hear someone who is so loved to go down something like that. I wish I knew a bit more about her to make a bit better/well educated of a post about it.

She was an incredible singer for sure, but her drug abuse most likely led to her untimely demise; it's an honest shame. Not to mention that Bobby Brown being "devastated" is hilarious considering their abusive relations. :/

[Also, I love how this is on the front-page of every news site at the moment, yet directly below are things much more newsworthy; violence in Syria, for example.]

I know right? When Amy Winehouse died, everyone failed to notice the shooting at that camp in Norway.

Sad that many artists are having problems with drugs.

I heard about it last night. My local radio station was bitching about her Ex.

I remember this news. No offense to others around the net, I however have little concerns for her death. But I do have many concerns of whats going around the U.S and the world however. Heres a counter point video of Whitney Houston's death. Once again I don't mean to offend anyone! It's just another point of view from someone else:

I'm hesitant to watch any video that includes a guy on Youtube ranting with a giant Illuminati poster behind him

As for everyone bitching that the death of an incredibly renown and beloved singer is actually making news...shut up, please. Yes, there are other bad things happening around the world, and fine if your gripe is that you want to see that headline two spaces above the headline of her death. But people relate a lot to music, and often to the singers themselves; I have yet to realize how this is a bad thing. Being obsessed over celebrity relationships and whatever is agreeably dumb, but mourning over a woman who has produced art that you've had an emotional reaction to in some way or another is not a crime, and her fame does not negate the tragedy of her death. Thanks.

I mentioned the shooting, Dras, because there was actually a scandal over here. It wasn't just overlooked in the news and papers, but no one reported it. For a while, the UK had no idea at all it had even happened because there was no coverage of it. I actually found out from an American friend. Many of us were massively pissed because the media failed to mention it.

I know how important music is and such. If anything happened to a member of Interpol, 30 Seconds to Mars, or Electric Six, say... I'd be devastated.

Oh, I wasn't referring to you, just people in general. The shooting thing pissed me off too, because it got NO coverage in the western media, wheras stuff like Syria and other tragedies are still getting covered here. I just see this shitfit of people going OMG OKAY WHO CARES whenever a celebrity dies and it's like "wow maybe the people who kind of looked up to them care?"

Ah yeah, I really don't see why people whinge so much about celebrities getting "too much coverage". At the end of the day, we're all human. Celebrities are someone's mother, or father, or brother, or sister, or partner. Every life is a loss. Some people just get butthurt because of the fame some lives have, I guess?

They try to link caring about celebrities to the materialization and ultimate downfall of America or something, but honestly caring about a dead person seems to indicate everything but, especially considering most of these people have never even MET the celebrities in question, and they still had a huge impact on them nonetheless. Celebrities are not "more important" than other people, though, and it is a little annoying when things like the Norway shooting getting such limited coverage, but that's not the fault of the poor dead celebrity or people who are mourning their death, it's shitty news coverage.

I get really annoyed with seeing people say things like RIP WHITNEY on Facebook only to have Douchebag McGrumpypants blunder in all GOD NOT ANOTHER ONE DON'T YOU KNOW THAT PEOPLE ARE DYING IN AFRICA RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT, as if those topics were in any way, shape or form related to one another.

There will always be one Douchebag McGrumpypants, sadly... They're entitled to their opinion I guess, but all this anti-celebrity and brushing off a death makes them seem arrogant. I like to think they merely make fools of themselves.

It's said that it looked like she had an accident in the bathroom. Tripped over and fell unconsious. It was also reported she acted erratically the day before.

And, as a comedian here said about Douchebag McGrumpypantses bitching over which news are more important: "Let us take care of this, AND JUST THEN we can find the one who molested you..."

It's always a shame when someone dies due to drug abuse, many a good actor and musician have met their end that way.

Rest in peace Whitney, you will be missed.
