Is it time to part with my Starfox collection?

Ok here's the deal. For about 3 years now I've been collecting starfox games, advertising, merchandise, etc and I've enjoyed it up until now. The only thing is I'm not having fun anymore and I'm sure there are collectors out there who'd be more than appreciaituve to get there hands on some of my collection. I'd keep the major games in the series but everything that isn't in the core of the starfox game library would be sold off. Depending on responses I may decide to sell but I'd need input tio sell the collection as a whole or to split it up. Lastly I'd like to get a feel of what some people would feel comfortable to pay for some items in my collection which I'll list now.

Starfox competition weekend cartridge

Starfox Competition weekend prize jacket

Starfox for the Snes AUTOGRAPHED and dated by SHIGERU MIYAMOTO with authentication paperwork

Starfox Adventures Collector's edition DVD

Starfox Adventures Circuit City preorder survival kit

Starfox snes unused advertising shelf dangler

Starfox and Peppy official plushies form 1993

Starfox competion weekend PROTOTYPE prize pin (the one all the other pins were based off of)

...and dozens of other items of fluctuating rarity and value.

I'm looking to the communtiy for help and feedback on this so please let me know and don't feel afraid to ask me something.

Be careful with threads like this and main posting rule number 3;

3. Do not advertise a product or another site or forum, even if they are related to the topic of discussion. Such posts are considered spam and may be either deleted or locked with or without warning. You may link to your site in your signature or in your site list thread on The Portal board.

A basic discussion on collectability or how to sell a collection isn't necessarily a problem, but just make sure you don't actually give out links to auctions or products.

That being said, I think it is a much better option to piece everything out and sell separately when attempting to appeal to the general public. You'll definitely attract more attention that way and possibly make more sales. If a collector market is what you're going after I'd suggest putting everything together. I can't really speak for price.

Entirely serious. Even if I don't end up selling it anytime soon I'd like to get a feel for the current market from other collectors.

*KICKS HER HIATUS IN THE FACE*

If you're selling the Fox and Peppy plushies at a not-horrifyingly-high price I will buy the hell out of them

As much as I would love to have these items, I sadly do not have room for them.

Starfox for the Snes AUTOGRAPHED and dated by SHIGERU MIYAMOTO with authentication paperwork

This though may be the one thing I would consider, but I do not currently know how much Miyamoto's signature is worth. Though I am curious, is this a A Famicom Cart, North American Cart, or a PAL Cart? Is it in the box? If so, ever opened?

How the heck did you get that? O_o

EDIT: Wow, hardware signed by him can be worth upwards of $1000, but some units, like a DS, have sold for less than $10. Also, apparently, he tends to sign lots of things. Thus, it is WHAT he signs that is important. A signed NES went for nearly $2000. Star Fox isn't Mario or Zelda, though, so I imagine it isn't worth the higher-end prices. But what do I know?

In response to a few questions the autographed cart is without the box and it's a North American cart. I got it it from an auction but there weren't many bids because it didn't have the authentication paperwork with it yet so people were wary. Still had to part with $200 to get it though.

As far as the plushies go I was incredibly lucky on an ebay auction that was posted for only a day about 2 years ago and at the time had to shell out about $150 a piece (thank God for overdraft protection =P). I haven't seen anymore listed since then.

Well unfortunately I now have come to the decision to sell my collection. I'd like it to go to another collector who loves Starfox as much as I do. They're on ebay. Good bye my darlings.
