Well actually, it's true that other people think of heaven differently than others, but the Bible does give just enough hints to get us excited (I think that's mainly in Revelations.) I don't really know where, because I haven't read the whole Bible back to back yet. But I know it's there from being taught and shown. It talks about there being a new Jerusalem, and I'm pretty sure it gives a description on how big it is, but it's going to be bigger than anything man has ever made. God says he is going to make everything new. See, the world is already amazing and beautiful as it is, but has been corrupted by sin. Which is the reason behind all the world's problems. Decay, violence, cheating, sexual immorality... the list goes on. But when God makes everything new, it will be a gazillion times better then what we see now: Trees won't rot, everyone will be in perfect unity and happiness, (no bickering or fighting,) everything will be as it should have been. And of course, the new Jerusalem is just ONE of the cities there will be...

Yeah, people will interpret it differently, but really, as Ajc kind of said, we can not possibly comprehend with our little human minds what it will be like, so it's kinda pointless to wonder. But if it's exciting to you to think about, then feel free. You are right that it'll be better than anything you could ever imagine, so yeah.

Haha, yeah, it is kinda pointless seeing as how anything I imagine couldn't be in it if I'm able to imagine it... on the other hand, if you think of the biggest thing you could possibly want, and then realize it can only get better from there... icon_biggrin.gif That's kind of cool to think about.

As for Harry Potter, I finished the first book in less then a week. That's probably the fastest I've ever finished a book, but that's nothing to brag about, seeing as how it's just a small paper back...I think the reason I finished it so soon was because I was reading it so much--not that I'm a fast reader--but I'm not really slow, either. Wish I were faster, though. Would you believe it, that some people can look at a paragraph as a whole chunk of words, and already understand what it means? My brother-in-law can. I admire that (who wouldn't?) but maybe that's because I can't do it myself. Anyway, I'm on the second book now--already loving it--I had completely forgotten about the part where the Weasleys save Harry from those awful Dursleys... until I saw the illustration at the beginning of the chapter, and then I got all excited. You want to know something else? Yesterday was the day I picked the book up at the library, and I also had to go to the store with my mom to pick up a few things, but that's besides the point. I was walking down an aisle, and I saw this pillar supporting the building, and you know the first thing I thought of? Platform nine and three quarters, of course! So I started walking toward it and ran into it--then I walked around it and told my mom, "I was hoping to get on platform nine and three quarters." She didn't know what I was talking about and said, "What?" I then said, "Nothing," and we continued on down the aisle. My head is surely full of Harry Potter, I must say!

See what I mean? There's always somebody to trump everything I do so that I'm always pushing myself to do better! *pouts*

Anyway, saw this, made me laugh.

"How many electrons are in a carbon atom? Six! Okay... who in there right mind is gonna use that when there older?!"

I honestly don't know. I hate science. Although it can be interesting, most of the time it's as boring as watching grass grow--"See the bubbles? That means the molecules are breaking up into atoms! Yaaaay! Quick! Let's do it again!"

I don't understand why I haven't said this yet, even though it's pretty note worthy--I'm getting piano lessons now! Now I'm starting to understand what sheet music means instead of looking at a bunch of weird squiggles and lines that make no sense, lol! The teacher is really nice too--she's a good mix of encouragement, but also tells me what I need to work on as well as just, well... teaching me, lol. She's pretty friendly, too. Although I felt kind of nervous, I wasn't really shy (if that makes any sense). I think it's really fun, learning new things about music! :) I was a bit worried it would be boring, but... it really isn't. That's partially because I have an interest in music, but also because the teacher gets straight to the point and has me move forward, learning new things every time I see her. She says I can play the piano well, but I'm lopsided because I can't read sheet music. So yeah! It'll be great when I can start reading sheet music.

You know what I think? I think I'm going to reserve next summer for a time of extreme studying on human anatomy. Humans, besides videogame characters, are actually what I'm most interested in drawing. The problem is, I don't know a whole lot about the human body. So, like I said, I'mma gonna study. ;)

Or at least, this is an idea I have for next summer...

On a side note, here's something I find funny: for a while, I was so happy it was summer. I was sick of winter, and felt that either spring or summer were my favorite seasons. But, now that winter's coming around again, I'm greeting it with open arms, because I've become sick of summer. :P To much... green. Even though that's what I had been longing for after such a long winter, having such a long summer made me want winter again, lol. It's nice to have a little variety, isn't it?

Also, I've nearly finished the second Harry Potter book. Although, it took me about twice as long--mainly that's just because I haven't been reading it as much--was piled up with a lot of things to do and by the time I was done with all that, I didn't feel so much like spending what little time I had left reading, lol. Still, the series is AMAZING, and I'm enjoying it very much. :D

Summer sucks. :P Stupid bugs, stupid heat, stupid everything.

This very month (where I live, at least) is where it's at. ;)

Also that is a good idea. When I was learning to draw I made sure to study anatomy because that was my worst part. Got better after a few simple books.

As for Harry Potter, glad you're enjoying it, never got into it and I don't intend to...

My mom tells me it's ungracious to not thank someone after they compliment you, but I don't know. Often times, I don't really respond that way. Most of the time, I end up looking in a different direction and scratching my head or something sheepish like that. I think part of the reason why I do that is because I feel that I don't really think what they complimented me for was very... true? Like I'm always cautious when people compliment me because I don't want to get all proud and stuck up. That, and there are times when people "compliment" you, but they don't really mean what they say. Like they're just flattering you. So, most of the time, I end up just thinking about what they said in a sort of, "Yeah... I'm not really..." attitude. It's not that I want to be mean, it's just... I don't know. I feel awkward whenever I thank someone because I feel like I'm making myself look stuck up, like I "deserve" to be thanked, of that makes any sense.

A funny thing I remember is when I was on my first road trip to Pennsylvania. At one point, we stopped by a McDonald's. The lady at the counter was black. Not really black, sort of the brown black. If memory serves, I think she had shoulder length grey hair, too. Maybe that's right...I don't know. But anyway, my mom was telling her what we wanted to order, and I think some small talk occurred which had something to do with, "We're on a road trip," or something like that. Anyway, I can't remember how it happened. I think I was sort of just quietly listening, looking around, and then the woman looked at me for a moment and said, "She's pretty, too," with a smile. I looked at her and my mind was like, "...What? That's the first time anybody's..." ...No seriously, I don't think anybody really told me I was pretty until then. So yeah, I was a little surprised. But I didn't say anything. I think in a case like that, it would've been even more awkward if I had said anything...

So, it's getting nearer and nearer to Thanksgiving. One of the things I'm most looking forward to is my sister, (the one that's married now) will be having a visit when it happens, which I'm thankful for. I can get pretty lonely when I'm the only girl in the house surrounded by boys, lol.

Going through puberty is a strange process...I find myself wanting to look pretty way more then I used to. I don't go crazy about it though... like spending several hours in the morning deciding on what I should wear and how I should style my hair and all that. The most I go with makeup is concealer, and that's it. Been practicing good hygiene, too; taking showers every morning and washing my face. It really helps my appearance a lot.

I also find that the mall is THE coolest place on earth. I've been to it before, but I still think it's awesome. I mean, it's got EVERYTHING from food, to clothes, to games to knickknacks to jewelry to just... everything. I went there last week and got some awesome stuff including skinny jeans, (best pants ever) a jacket, sweater, bracelets, new shoes and socks, and... lol, perfume. I wanted perfume because one day I was sitting next to my brother and he had this really nice scent to him. I asked him what it was and he said he used this sort of body-wash soap stuff. So I was like, "Oh, I need something like that!" So, naturally, PERFUME. The stuff smells awesome. :3

My style of what I wear is pretty different to what most girls though; I don't wear anything ratty and boyish anymore, but I still go for stuff that looks "cool," but that's feminine, versus pretty skirts and leggings and that kind of stuff. And by cool I don't mean, "ripped up jeans and trashy shirts!" I just mean normal, stylish skinny jeans, graphic T-shirts, converse shoes, that kind of stuff. And I like it. It suits me.

Also, I'm happy today's the weekend 'cause I got to sleep in. I needed that, lol.

Well guys, I actually did it.... I watched My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic....

And....

Well, it's surprisingly clever. The appearance of the cartoon is very childlike, but it's not really... babyish. It's something that anyone of any gender or age can enjoy. That's pretty cool, honestly.

But here's something funny; my brothers were the ones who got into it first. xD At one point I came into one their rooms and one of them was watching it on his computer. I couldn't help smile, because, lol, it's kind of funny seeing a 16 year old watching a cartoon that outwardly looks so... kidish. I told him so and he said, "There are lots of people like me watching this." Don't I know it... xD I bet if our Mum and Dad came in the room at that moment he would've immediately closed it, lol.

... the little Zelda ditty.

S'not much... but hey, it's somethin'.

The thing I'm mainly pleased with is the quality of the file. It's very crisp and clean. Doesn't sound far away and there aren't any background noises.

Changed my avatar. I enjoy the scenes in the Harry Potter books where Hedwig shows Harry her affection by nipping his finger and how she's got a very dignified personality. I don't know. I just like Hedwig and the bond she shares with Harry. It's sweet.

Sooooo...

I'm annoyed at myself for not drawing as much as I used to. It really puts me off when I think about how I used to be so determined to become really good at it... and then... for some reason it just... kind of slowed down. Where the heck did Mr. inspiration go? Where did Miss interest go? I mean, I still draw every now and then, but still... :( I don't know... maybe it's just another one of those artistically depressive feelings I get every now and then, lol.

So here's an original composition. I called it "Newborn" because it reminds me of a baby that's just been born, or that's maybe lying in a crib. Not sure where it came from, honestly. Just started playing and poof.

Sup guys!

So I've been progressing through the Harry Potter series. I'm on the sixth book and I still enjoy it. I find that the books do a far better job at explaining things than the movies do. Every time I finish one of the books I get a satisfied feeling because it closed everything up at the end and everything made sense. The 3rd and 4th movies, however, leave to many lose ends that leave you scratching your head if you've never read the books.

Just for a fun fact, I recently found out that the Potter fans call themselves, "Potheads," which I find quite humorous.

As it was cleaning day today, I did a bit extra cleaning in my room by dusting my old Lego sets that have resided on my selves for years accumulating dust. I didn't really mind doing it; on the contrary, it was about time. The models were so grossly covered in dust that when I pulled one of the models off its shelve and blew on it, it literally puffed off mass quantities of dust in the air and I coughed while inhaling another deep breath to blow on it more. I suppose the job of cleaning the models would've been tedious if I wasn't in the mood for it, especially since I ended up using an old toothbrush to clean out all the little crevices between the studs. But if I start working on something and keep at it on a steady pace, I tend to not mind so much.

A good lesson to know is that if you drag your feet when doing something, it only makes matters worse. Despite me knowing this, however, I have trouble applying it to my life most of the time. :-P

Anyway, talk to you later!

Hello again! :)

--

I've been trying to learn how to curl my hair via a curling iron, but GOODNESS. When you're a total noob at this sort of thing, you couldn't do it to save your life. I feel totally helpless, lol. Heck, I even tried reading/watching tutorials online, but every time I tried to follow the instructions I look back and go, "WHY DOESN'T MINE LOOK LIKE THAT?!"

My hair isn't incredibly straight. It has a bit of natural wave to it, but even so...

I'm open to suggestions, if you happen to have any. :P

P.S. I'm starting to sign my posts and add the dates to them in here because I think it makes them look more formal. xD
