CrypticQuery
You bought a multi-year Norton subscription? Got it for Christmas, I definitely wouldn't have bought it on my own!
!Corgi
Not even norton can save you . But in all seriousness I use Nod32 and Kaspersky or what ever stacked together. I get a ton of false positive dealing with things I do, But it is reliable to give me details on results. >Pirates Antivirus >Antivirus has built in anti-torrenting >I lol'ed. thunderflare
I had the free version of AVG at one point, it tried to install a bunch of stuff and slowed my computer down so I got rid of it. The free version of Avast works for me, it has told me about threats and I haven't noticed it slowing down my computer or anything.
Fana McCloud
Found it kinda strange that nobody here has so much as mentioned Comodo. I'm not exactly a security expert so I dunno how it stacks up against the others, but I like the fact that it gives you the option to sandbox unknown programs - great for when you're unsure of the safety of a program and wanna test it out. Done okay by me so far. AVG and Avast! ended up annoying the piss out of me for various reasons so I tried Comodo, and I've been pretty happy even if it can be super paranoid at times, but it's easy to disable the sandbox alerts and then re-enable them later. I code on my machine so I kinda have to do that because it likes to flag my compiled C programs when I try to run them. XD

thunderflare
Found this chart of anti-virus software in the new Consumer Reports magazine I got this month, I just though I'd share it with the community. It really is quiet good.
AAAA
bump... secret tool of the repair trade is a free compilation cd you download for free its free ware called...i forget but i may remimber while typing, now as far as an anti anything program. if you care at all about proformance i suggest malwarebytes. it does as good as the best and is much lighter to run. also the cd i mentioned is called oh i know XD hyrems boot disk. or some variation of that...google will correct me. anyway with that you can boot up and fix the issue. it comes with a huge collection of tools even a hdd repair tool, that we at the pc shop used to use to fix hdd's all the time. be they corupted or damaged sectors that your standard defrag tool cannot fix. and also guys on mac and linux. your hdd needs defraged as well so i suggest you do so. it is a myth that it doesnt. my experiance is 10 years building repairing and optimizing systems, mobos, psu repair hdd repair ...you name it even voltage moding for ocing on a hardware level... and yeah ive been out of the game for a few years but gimmie ten minutes and ill be as good as ever. and more to the point. be careful when updating windows as it has delivored more then a few special packages in its time. i suggest you run malwarebytes full edition if you want a paid one. or free and peer guardin for free set up. yay rambling but srsly norton is trash ...thats why comcast gives it free. and it drags your system down. and NO i dont care how super fast you are so norton is of no worry to you XD....bullshit. ever hear of memory leaks? it basicly sucks and sucks till your out and have to reboot. though even if you have an omg awesome setup... drop norton or kapersky, and see the differance. though i do like kapersky more then norton malwarebytes is god. ty yw god save the queen.
