That's the thing with Krystal, the fan art of her IS admittedly hot in places, but somehow in official canon stuff I don't think she's anywhere near as hot as people make out. Something about her face is unappealing to me. Ala1n-J Posted February 25, 2012 Share Posted February 25, 2012 As I said in another thread, SF Adv was the first SF game I knew, so I included Krys as part of the SF universe. However, because of the nature of Adv, my vision of SF was biased. Now, I kinda like her. She might not be well developped (only there for BOOBS) but the SF franchise didn't get a decent treatment in constancy and universe development. I'm butthurt that her portrayal from the original SFAdv script was butchered because of rushed development, debatable decisions and/or laziness. Katt is still the best female in the franchise, I'm OK with Fara, and although she looks great I don't know much about Miyu to get a complete feeling of her (I heard somewhere that Miyu was recycled in SF64 as Katt, so...) Krys's main problem his her role in the game and in the team. What is it? The worst about it is that it was working in SF Adv original script. She had a role and a subplot on her own. She could have worked in there as Fox's special vulpine, both have lost something they held dear (his father, her whole frigging planet). In the script, Krys gets the possibility to retrieve her planet, but only by destroying Dinosaur Planet. And given the spiritual nature of the matters, Fox could get the chance to see his father again, or so would he think... Both will learn not to sacrifice everything for the sake of the past and to go ahead on their own lives. As her role in the team, she could be a cartographer, she travelled the universe to find the reasons of her planet's destruction, she might know a few interesting places. This could extend ROB's data that only contains the planets referenced by Corneria. Just a thought. So I like her, but she desperately needs a retcon if big N wants half of the SF fans to look at her in a good way. And even with that I'm not sure they will all change their minds. When I think about Krystal, my fanfic writer's instincts kick in and treat it as a characterization desperately in need of fixer-upper renovation, and I consider the ways I'd go about that. Her character is terrible, in my opinion. You say that because shes represented horribly, we have yet to see Krystal done properly with the exception of some glorious moments in Assault.
