"User"
Currently in trade school for 22 weeks and afterwards I'll be looking for an apprenticeship and thus beginning the over 9000 hours/5 year journey to becoming a full electrician. People say that manufacturing isn't what it used to be but that's only half the truth. Unskilled manufacturing and other work yes, but skilled trades has been downplayed in high school for decades and as such there is an unprecedented demand as all the older workers retire. 6 figure incomes among journeyman tradespeople isn't really that uncommon. Peter
Well, I'm only in middle school, so this is a long way away for me. But, I kind of have an idea of my future. I'll get a degree in Communications or Journalism. Those two always kind of interested me. But, nonetheless, I am looking forward to college, because then I can learn things I actually want to know. I wouldn't suggest that you abandon studying something you enjoy. Job market is terrible for music majors admittedly, but as I am about to graduate I am now looking back wishing I had spent time studying the things I wanted (I am a bit of a music person myself). I have heard the advice, that if you truly enjoy doing something, you will find a way.

chaos_Leader
Studying in a University, with one year left to go (hopefully). I'm a Theatre major with emphasis in Sound Design, and with a Music minor added on. Now here O'Donnell is an example of how to make a passion for music help someone in a job field. In the Theatre, when a Director is looking for a Sound Designer (the person who decides music and other noises), someone who can speak "Music" as well as "Techno-babble" and "Artsy-speak" will inherently be have more to offer the production than someone who doesn't. At least, that's how I'm going to try and sell myself out there in the field.
Fana McCloud
Have a Bachelors in Art with an emphasis in Animation, but I'm one of those crazy lifelong learners that still takes classes. Wanna solo my way into doing something with art, animation, or video games. Working on learning to program games as such.

Still wondering about it, but I eventually decided that minoring in something else would be better for my major...something about Computer Science major Music minor didn't really ring very well haha. Don't be so sure. There are computer programs that work with music, such as Reason, Logic (personal favorite), Cakewalk, Finale, Sibelius; and someone has to know how they function.
