Hunting Star Fox fanart! Help requested.

Saluations, forum goers of SFO. My name is Entropy and I have been a long time fan of all things Star Fox. I come seeking help.

Many moons ago, I found a particular piece of Star Fox fanart. To this day, it has been my favorite picture, but unfortunately, I cannot remember where I originally found it...

I believe it was on DeviantArt. The art consisted of what I recall as a single comic page involving Fox and Krystal. A giant Aparoid was about to attack Fox before Krystal jumped in the way and sacrificed herself to save our hero McCloud. I believe the quote she said was something like: (after Fox asked: "Why, Krystal?")

"Isn't it obvious, Fox? That I'm more than willing to give up everything and anything for you."

If anyone would provide some help in locating this piece of fan art, I would be eternally grateful. I've searched and searched all over dA and even resorted to scrolling piece by piece through the Krystal Archive's massive library of fanart.

Thank you for your time, fellow Star Fox lovers. May your barrel rolls be plenty!

~ Entropy

I don't have that one in my collection. I can dig in a few places, but it would be helpful if I knew a couple of things:

1. What medium? Digital? Paint? Markers?

2. Is it colored or black and white?

3. Is it like a comic page?

4. By "many moons" do you mean years or months. Note that SFAs came out in 2005.

I believe it was digitally inked. Black and white, and I recall it being kind of like a comic page, yeah. The art style was slightly anime/mangaish. As for the year... If my memory is correct, then it was an Aparoid in the picture, so yeah, 2006-2007ish? Just a guess.

Thanks for the help, DZ!

Ah, I've seen this in my searches. When I said "comic", it's not a whole comic. It's just a single page in comic-panel-ish format.

Wouldn't it be this by an chance ? It's close to your description. (Should I put a NSFW tag on it because of violence and blood?)

It was on deviantart, but the fan-artist, Morrie-Chan, deleted her dA account that included it. I found it back on her tekagi website.

I do believe your link is either broken or wrong, Ala1n-J; it links me back to this page.

Oh, hey. That's the one! However did you find that? XD

I remember I found it on deviantart when I was browsing Starfox fanart 4-5 years ago. I found Morrie-Chan's account randomly and this picture got stuck in my memories. Why? I don't know... Then, she skipped to another account and deleted her previous one with that picture. When you asked about a picture that looked really much like that, it popped out of my head. But I feared, since Morrie deleted the account, the picture would be gone, forever. Fortunately, she has a Tegaki account with the same name (Morrie-Chan) and I looked in the archives to find it back.

So let's say I have a good memory. :-)

Anyways, glad this is the picture you've been looking for.

Yeah, same reason here. That picture stuck out to me, seeing Krystal's face in the last panel. I wish I remembered her name like you so I could found her. :o

Thank you very much. It was like, haunting me for a couple days because I was looking and looking to no avail.

... I even started to go through every single piece on the Krystal Archive. That's about 8k long, I think.
