Does anyone speak fluent Saurian/Dino Talk?

I'm using the name that the Krystal Archives gives to the language, but I don't know if everyone calls it that.

I've been wanting to teach myself this language (mostly to confuse others in public, though sadly I have no one to speak it with), but after listening to the audio files on the website mentioned above, I'm not entirely sure about the pronunciation of a lot of words. I noticed that in some words, the "x" was pronounced like a "z" or an "s." If anyone has already taught themself this language, I'd like some advice about how to pronounce words with a lot of awkward consonants in a row and such things like that.

Please don't post in Saurian, though. haha, I haven't gotten that far in teaching myself so I'd have no idea how to translate/understand someone if they wrote a whole post in it. lol

I heard of these Starfox extremist....they are few and far and an ancient people...i do beleive, however, the in game language is based off of a rare earthly language...i shall reseach this more and get back to you

Haha, a friend and I used to write to each other in it. We did the same with FFX's Al Bhed langauge. It was pretty fun, actually.

I remember using the translator Mr. Krystal made a few times, but I don't think I ever posted anything in Saurian. Though a few years ago I did used to write in Hylian.

Anyone who knows the English alphabet can speak Saurian. It's a language constructed via substitution cyphering, by changing certain letters of a perfectly valid English sentence into others, to give the impression of being another language. It doesn't come with its own grammar as far as I recall, and isn't subject to any sort of phonetic standard. When VA's in SFA spoke it, they seemed to skip or modify the pronounciation of Saurian words with weird consonant distribution, as if it were spoken as written it would be a huge pain in the posterior. The accent they used to speak it was pretty cool though.

But yeah, it isn't something to get all that excited about, really, seeing as it's not a 'language' per se, more like a kind of pig latin Rare threw together in a few days to construct a fake language for SFA. Knowing it by heart is kinda cool, though. Just as long as no one says 'KEO KRAZOA' right at my face at eight o'clock in the morning.

In response to OP, I have not taken the time to learn said language. Instead, I have spent my time learning Russian, a language I might use at some point. However, I do wish you well in your endeavors to learn how to speak the language of the ancient lizards. Perhaps StarKid can help you out. Also, there is a translator on the Krystal Archives website, fairly easy to use, I use it to find out what the heck some of the people around are saying.

writing it is easy enough speaking it, like Faisul said, can be a pain but after studying the cut scenes where it was spoken I noticed on their pronunciation of some things were different like the "oo" is the same as a "long o" and like you said "the "x" was pronounced like a "z" or an "s."

if the "x" is before a voul at the beginning of a word it sounds like a "s", the "ex", "ax" and "ox" stay the same, if it comes after a continent like "hxo" (she)

it sounds like an "z".

One of the goals of this site is to (eventually) have full pronunciations of anything typed. I've done analysis on about half of the in-game clips (in massive detail). From experience I can say that after a couple hours of staring at this stuff, you start to be able to say it without trouble.

You don't want to learn this as a language. It's just a lether displacement algorithm. And no one speaks it.
