"I feel the same", Geo said. "Marauder One sent us here then there's a probability, big or small, that he's here as well..."

"Agreed," Vokun said. "But what's strange is that the Dragonarians are arming these locals, and I never heard about it. But regardless, it is clear that Dovahkiin has the support of this world... to what extent is unclear, however. Char--Encarmia, I will simply ask you let me handle matters here - and that you trust that I know what I am doing. I have a hunch over what Dovahkiin will do next..."

"They're on their way," Dovahkiin said over a coded channel. "Everyone, be ready. Delphine, you are our eyes." Dovahkiin smiled mentally. The trap was set, the fish was hooked, and all that was left was to reel it in...

"I have no clue what your doing" Chayrlin says, sighing with exasperation. She shook her head disappointingly, rubbing her arm where she was shot. "I have been lost on this entire venture, hell i was gonna cut off Marauders legs and call it a day until about an hour ago."

"I wouldn't say as much Chayrlin", Vanessa said, "It could be a way to insure nothing unnecessary happens, because if we try to apprehend him the people will not tolerate there 'leader' being taken away by strangers and would fight against us on the other hand it does the same thing for us say he kills us when we are there in front of all those people with no justified reason, some would turn on him some will be with him thus creating two sides and eventually another war. if he fought so hard for peace then he wouldn't want that. I'm not saying we should let our guard down but not to expect the worst from this guy." Vanessa explained

"She's right," Vokun agreed as he led the team down the steps. "So long as we keep things cordial between us and him, he has no reason to attack us. He may take security measures to ensure we don't try anything, but rest assured - he won't harm us. If he was a murderer, as you describe, he'd have killed us by now. He's had perfect opportunities to do just that." He stepped off the last step at the foot of the mountain and looked over his shoulder to the others. "He wants us alive for something," he added. "Otherwise, he'd have blown us out of the stars long before we even got here."

He gestured toward the Danube. "Let's get going - the sooner we get to Whiterun, the sooner we can find Dovahkiin and figure out what he wants."

(Jeez this RP moves fast O.o I can't keep up with all the crap I gotta do)

Nora had been quiet throughout their visit to High Hrothgar, however, she didn't have much to say. It was a lot to take in, what had just occurred, she just needed to ponder for a while. Her silence might have been noticed, then again, it might have been noticed a lot before. Nobody spoke up yet, so she didn't pay it any attention.

Chayrlin purposely maneuvered herself so that she fell behind next to Nora, her heavy breathing as fake as it could be. "I dont know your name" CHayrlin Whispered, out of ear shot of Vokun. "I dont know why you are on this team, i dont really care either"

She took a deep breath, as if attempting to heal her fragile lungs. "I dont trust either Vokun or that Dragonspawn ass. i dont care if you dont know me, we gotta keep a close eye on them. I fear Vokun may be a pawn of The Dragonthingmanguy"

(@ Kage: Oh yeah now that you mention it xD :P)

Geo saw Chayrlin whisper something to Nora. He wnted to know what they talked about but in a way to avoid suspecting him of suspecting them. Instead he crept silently beside Chayrlin, and asked, "So, what d'you think of Vokun and the elder dragon? You think what they believe is the truth? That Marauder One is just some sort of a vigilante that got blamed for the crimes?"

"Vokun knew that thing" Chayrlin whispers, again out of earshot of Vokun. "Vokun apparently has a history with this world and its inhabitents, all of whom seem to be working with Marauder." She pauses for a minute to let her limping take her a little bit farther away from Vokun before she speaks again.

"Not only that, but Vokun has accurately predicted this bastards movements far to accurately to be simple guesses. Every time we go somewhere its where we need to be to hear more good things about this murderer we are chasing"

If Vokun could hear Charylin behind him, he showed no signs as he led the group toward Whiterun. He kept his own comments to himself - but knew Charylin suspected treachery. Vokun would, too - how he knew these things was beyond him. He simply knew them instinctively. How or why was irrelevant - what mattered was that it kept them alive.

In the distance, Whiterun could be seen. Vokun grabbed a pair of binoculars and peered at the gate. Immediately, he spotted trouble.

"Charylin," Vokun called out behind him, conscious of the distance between them, "Tell me you have a backup weapon in that cane of yours."

Geo looked at Vokun as Chayrlin stated her thoughts. Sure, everything she said was true, but Geo didn't suspect Marauder One being the murderer. He had saved them, twice, back at the Cairn, and both came with perfect opportunities to finish them all off.

'But he didn't have the guts to tell you 'bout his true intentions', a voice somewhere in his head said.

'Oh? You'd find it hard to do so if you're in his position', Geo thought back to himself.

Then again, now that he thought about it, the thing the voice in his head said was the exact thing Geo himself was thinking about earlier.

Then came Vokun's command to Chayrlin.

"What is it, trouble?", Geo asked Vokun.

There is a few moments of silence before Chayrlin responds in any kind.

Her eyes watering up, She takes a single breath before sighing with a grin of magnanimous douchbaggary.

"You assume i need a backup weapon" She giggles

"oh you light up my day."

She slams the head of her cane into the stone, the rock cracking slightly as the unholy walking stick makes its mark apon the material world.

"Your dedication to the ways of the gun are admirable, Vokun, but i am a warrior not a soldier. And a warrior never, ever, betrays her weapon as too need a second one." She eyes the weapons Vokun carries with a practiced eye, a practiced contemptuous eye.

With her free hand she fishes through her coat to pull out a golden pocket watch, flipping it open and judging the time with that same contempt. "What is the Delay? What do you see, Vokun?"

Taking Charylin's words into consideration, Nora looked at Geo, "None of this gets to Vokun, understood?" She asked. Would Geo actually tell him? Probably not, but when you're walking on eggshells, it's hard to be sure what exactly was going to happen. It was tough to believe Charylin, but on the other hand, it made perfect sense. And why hadn't Marauder killed them when he saw them? Was he just that sadistic? Was he so sure of himself? Or did he really want them to live? And if he did, why?

"Naturally", Geo replied to Nora. "But there's no denying Chayrlin made quite perfect sense yet at the same time so does Vokun, well, that is, to me."

Geo then put his weapon on standby mode. Vokun was still looking at the distance...

"What's going on, why have we've stopped?", Vanessa asked obviously oblivious to the prier conversation.

"First off," Vokun explained, "There are security checkpoints at every entrance to Whiterun; we won't be able to get our weapons inside - so unless Charylin knows how to conceal our weapons with that cane of hers, we'll be going in unarmed. Second... I won't lie, Charylin - If what I see is correct, that place will be crawling with Ysalamiri. Your force powers will be rendered useless in there."

(Before you bite my head off, BW, read: http://starwars.wiki...m/wiki/Ysalamir )

(I know of ysalamir. I have played forces of corruption )

(I also know you havent been picking up my clues as to Chayrlin's Lack of any force abilities, which i have stated numerous times. so let me say it a once or twice more. )

(CHAYRLIN HAS NO ACCESS TO THE FORCE. CHAYRLIN HAS NO WAY TO ACCESS THE FORCE.)

"Oh my... Have you not been paying attention?" She shakes her head, slipping her face into the comforting grasp of her palm.

Rising with carefully measured annoyance after a few moments, she sighs once more. "I dont have any force powers worth mentioning, Vokun. I sensed Marauder very faintly, almost like throwing darts at a field and bullseyeing an anthill. I highly doubt that i will ever be able to pull it off again, i dont even want to try, God forbid the Darkside renders more of my body useless."

AT the second question she found more solace in scrutanizing her palm, emulating Captian Picard in its observation.

"Okay Vokun, let me explain. This" She held up her cane in both hands, balencing on her feet as best she could. "Is a Cane. Made of composit materials for extra strength, It doesnt fire any bullets, it doesnt shoot fire, and it sure as hell doesnt emit radiation. Its about..." She measured its thickness. "Two inches thick. You want me to disassemble, ill humor you and say your assault rifle, And store it into my solid and not at all hollow cane? And the ammo and all the bells and whistles i know military types like you have an affair with as well?"

Shaking her head and tisking him, she sighed again, starting to chuckle. "Im Just a failed Jedi Gangster, Vokun, not a God incarnate you think Jedi are"

Geo grinned to himself at Vokun's query to Chayrlin. 'When we get back after this mission, I'm gonna take these guys to see Dr. Vega', Geo thought, remembering how the mentioned scientist made his weapons and equipment so portable. Geo pressed buttons on his Water Jetters, and the one at his left wrist now looked like a big diving watch while the one on his right wrist now looked like a thick bracelet. His weapon, the Utility Stick, can expand a little wider, its weapon mode deactivated, and Geo was able to fold it, stick out a handle, and now it looked like a slightly bigger than a normal first aid kit. The disguise is topped with its ability to open up like one and able to put contents in it. Now, his shield handle (shield not activated) he just need to pull apart to extend, hereby giving it the appearance of a future-esque yet a convincing walking stick. He then continued to walk, at the back f the group as usual, his Utility Stick, now a pseudo-first aid kit, in his left hand while his shield, now a walking stick, in his right.

Reluctantly, Nora placed her weapon down under her seat. She didn't like going in without it, but should anyone cross her, she was two feet taller and a lot stronger than the average man, sword or not, he wouldn't be a problem for her. However, nobody had made mention that she could just fly the weapons over the security checkpoints, then again, she hated carrying other people's junk, so she remained silent.

Vokun laid his weapon aside, exited the Danube, and led the team toward the security checkpoint, where a Whiterun guard stopped them. He was armed with a mean-looking MP340A3. He held up a hand and said, "Hold here - I'll need to take any personal weapons you have."

"I didn't bring one," Vokun said. "Left mine at the ship." He indicated the Danube. "Are you going to want to take our armor, as well?"

"No," the guard said. "Armor's acceptable, so long as there are no weapons inside."

Vokun looked to the others, then back at the guard. "Do you see any weapons on us?"

"No," the guard admitted. "But then, even if you did have weapons, we have snipers everywhere - you try anything, you'll be gunned down in a second." The guard stepped aside. "Go on in."

Vokun led the team through the gates of Whiterun, and began the journey to Dragonsreach.

* * *

"They're inside the city," Delphine said over the radio. "As expected, they're unarmed. But one of them looks like they're carrying a walking stick of some sort - nothing I've ever seen... Esbern would have a field day with that thing."

"This isn't an archeological expedition," Dovahkiin said. "Just get their attention and lead them to the palace."

"If there are so many snipers, why aren't guns allowed? It would make things fun" Nora said, giving a slight laugh as she imagined someone being gunned down, only for the shooter to get his head blown clean off. Despite her imagination running wild, she couldn't help but wonder one more thing, "And if there aren't any weapons allowed, why have so much security?"

"They are Backwards Tribals" Chayrlin says with no measure of Sublillity, eyeing the dirt covered peasants celebrating. What they were so joyous about Chayrlin had no idea. Probably some Pagan holiday or barbaric festival of the season. But Chayrlin turned her mind from such trivialties.

"They were found one day and given Firearms. And like children they act with them. They havent the slightest of how to use them in actual battles. And look!" She gleefully points to a wandering Ysalamir, the furred Reptile eying Her leg with somewhat of a concern.

"Marauder thinks he did his research! Oh my, this World may turn out to amuse me after all."

She tapped her cane on the ground. "Well then, esteemed colleges, from the looks of things Marauder is in that Longhouse on the top of the hill. Lets not keep him awaiting, for i wish to collect his head for my payment off world."

And with that she leisurely strode onwards to the longhouse.

Nora smiled, this was what she signed up for, death and destruction. She was ready to slice off Marauder's head right then, it was going to be great!

Vanessa sat there; dumbfounded at Chayrlin comment.

'I don't think this will go well with her hellbent killing him',Vanessa thought to herself.
