Transformers: War for Cybertron

This topic shall be about Transformers: War for Cybertron and it's amazing sequel.

Has anyone played this game?

It's for the 360 and PS3, but there is one on the Wii, it doesn't look too good, I would try it though. It's called "Cybertron Adventures".

It's probably my favorite game, next to Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

The online is rarely glitchy, and if you meet a hacker (rare) you're screwed. But it's a really amazing game, the sequal "Fall of Cybertron", is supposed to be way better, looking forward to it.

I have to say that I'm actually looking forward to Fall of Cybertron; if War for Cybertron is any indication, it'll be great. I really do like how the developers paid so much attention to detail with the characters, locations, and the entire feel of the universe. To see Soundwave, among others, voiced by their original actors brought nothing but smiles to my face. I did enjoy the split campaign, one side decepticons the other autobots, but I would have preferred if it was a bit longer. Can't comment on the multiplayer though; I didn't play it much. :)

The online was constantly laggy due to no servers and user hosting. Can not do Unreal engine without dedicated servers. It kills games with lag.

Ah, War for Cybertron... I've really liked that game on my PC. Sure it's no open world game, it's a basic Third Person Shooter, but it's really enjoyable! I loved playing at Optimus Prime, it's my favorite incarnation of the character so far. I also like the overall design of the characters, the red/purple lights were a good idea to differ the autobots from the decepticons... my only grief is that something went wrong with the installation, at the decepticon campaign, 4th chapter, at some point, the game quits and returns to windows (which means I cannot unlock Slipstream... URGH!!)

I'm really excited about Fall of Cybertron, the game sounds great. I just wished they didn't make Megs so... "evil-looking"... too pointy for my taste.

HA! War for Cybertron was my fave. Transformers game so far. One time I played online and used the Scout characters Sideswipe and Bumblebee, Leader Class Soundwave and Optimus, and Scientist Class Air Raid and Silverbolt.

The Soldier classes were OP with their Whirlwind but a well-placed Scout could kill them from afar using the Null Ray. Excellent players I remember are 'ArtofKilling' and 'TurtleofDoom'.

It brings about memories of hard-core 3rd person shooting action.

Fall of Cybertron looks great, I hope its online multiplayer will be as good or better than War for cybertron.

Fall of Cybertron looks pretty good. They had better bring back Esclation. Apparently, Multiplayer character creation is gonna be more in depth this time around then it was in WFC. I still have to reach Prime mode before FOC comes out. If any of you play on Xbox360 - I am Sonic3688. I'm not that bad. I use a mixture of characters in multiplayer - mostly now scientist and then soldier class with the x12 scrapmaker..

I honestly never got to play it. I've heard that lots of people really liked it, though. But sad part is, it won't be in FOC. The producer says there's a big reason for it, and he hates to do it. But I'm okay with it, mostly because I wanted it to be split screen, because my friends either don't have a PS3 or don't have the game.

I agree. The game does lag quite a bit, and I've occasionally ran into a hacker. But I know for a fact FOC won't be as laggy, should be a whole lot better.

Although, there was a Transformers game a while back titled "Transformers". It didn't make very much sense to me, but I knew that it was based off Transformers Armada, if anybody but me remembers that old TV show. Because it was the only Transformers game that had the Armada characters in it. And on the final level you got to fight Unicron. Hopefully he'll be in a future Transformers game or movie. But that's totally off topic.

x12 Scrapmaker + Whirlwind is OVERPOWER when enemies are close. I use scientist when everyone else on my team are killers and no one is a healer/support

I, however, am lucky when I killed a soldier by a headshot using a Null ray WHILE he was using whirlwind. And he's close to me.

They have yet to mention Unicron in the games or movies. I bet they're saving him for some finale. You can't have a good series that's Transformers related without Unicron.
