Ratchet
Welcome to My art sector! It's not -Fox McCloud-'s Art sector! It's now Ratchet's Art Sector! This is the main place where I will be posting and Updating my art! Hope you guys enjoy it! My Art style is heavily inspired by Japanese Manga. If you know, one of my goals is to become a mangaka. Though I'm not sure if I'm ready for that yet.. haha.. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I First Picture! 1.) Just a drawing of Fox in the cockpit on the left! I tried going for the battle ready look. It also reminds me of Gurren Lagann. Have you guys watched that? The left picture was supposed to be Fox posing, instead I made it his dad James McCloud. I'm not sure what they're doing xD so it's up to you to interpret what you think they're doing.. 2.) This picture was draaawwnnn wayyy back.. Before I even wen on SFO. Not really liking the head but it's still good, for a first. I took reference from Brawl, and was inspired by SuperSecretChicken on YouTube. 3.) My second try, it came out pretty well done. 4.) Finally a colored picture! This was meant for Father's Day, but I was a bit too late... Anyways, Happy belated Father's Day to all the fathers. :D Edited June 18, 2012 by Ratchet
sroberson
Hey! Good looking work you've got! How long have you been drawing? I have been playing with the idea of getting into drawing but I am kind of afraid of the long road I would have to travel before I feel comfortable with showing anything I can do. Well, practically all of my life.. ^^; If you wanna draw go for it! If you're afraid to post your art, don't be. No one is perfect, just draw and draw till you become better. You might get some helpful critiques. Your drawing is really good and really expresive, it`s really interesting, keep up the good work!. Lol, I used to draw years ago mostly because of school art class. I tried getting into a college basic drawing class but I just couldn't get myself to focus on it and spend as much time as I needed to get drawings finished. I feel like I am decent with some things, but extremely slow and picky. I still feel like a bit of a little kid wanting to work on developing video games for a job, so digital art looks appealing to me. I look forward to seeing more art from you as you play through the games This is awesome. Next you should draw Peppy's father teaching him how to do barrel rolls. XD Oh you and your barrel rolls :-P

I'm still having trouble drawing Fox.. I'm not much of an artist and it takes me a heck of a lot time and paper to actually get the anatomy right. Aww gee thanks, though it's still gonna be a long time before I draw good.

CrypticQuery
I always loved the more cartoony styling when it came to artwork, and I do love this piece. Those expression lines on the drawing to the right are a nice touch as well. :)
sjrathbun812
Nice! I don't particularly care for manga as a style, but manga done right, I think, looks pretty good. Yours doesn't look that bad, honestly. Keep up the good work.

CrypticQuery
Even for older art, it still looks fantastic; better than anything I could dream of doing. Also, feel free to add more art in separate posts; you don't have to update the first post if you don't want to.

And of course, I'll take your word of advice. Oh cool, cool. I like your style. Thank you! I'm glad you like it! You don't have a bad style yourself, actually I think it looks really realistic. You've got to make a tutorial or something! ;)

Ratchet
Edited the title for you. Great stuff by the way. :3 Heheh..! Thanks a lot Redeem! I was wondering how I could change it.. You saved me a lot of trouble of having to change it. Hey man, you got some good art in here! Keep it up. Your improvement since your brawl pictures is quite obvious. No tracing and your lineart feels so much more sophisticated and it's clear to me that you feel a lot more confident in the way you draw. Good job! Thanks red5..! I do feel more confident, and I will continue to draw until I make more awesome pieces!

sroberson
Not much else to say, but awesome! Is James' glasses supposed to be tinted? Or is that a shadow effect it causes around the underside of his eyes? That's really the only part I kind of scratched my head at
Ratchet
Not much else to say, but awesome! Is James' glasses supposed to be tinted? Or is that a shadow effect it causes around the underside of his eyes? That's really the only part I kind of scratched my head at When I was drawing his glasses, I came across the option whether to color the solid black or make them clear. I couldn't decide so I just drew them how they were. Thanks btw, I hope this clears any question you had.
