Synapsepilot
I like to read science-fiction stuff, along with a good dose of WW2 and WW1 related books. Sci-Fi wise I have recently finished Starship Troopers (excellent read, far better than the movie), along with 2001: A Space Odessey and 2010: Odessey Two, and of course War of the Worlds. Also stuff like Flags of our Fathers, With the Old Breed, An Ace of the 8th, The Few, and Horses Don't Fly.
Star_Dragon
Typically, I'm one to read Sci-Fi books and Fantasy, however my collection is somewhat... limited, due to the unfortunate fact there are no good book stores near where I live. Books I've read: Halo: Contact Harvest (Finished. Explains how the Human-Covenant war started.) Halo: The Cole Protocol (Finished. Pretty good.) Halo: The Fall of Reach (Finished. Good book.) Halo: The Flood (Finished. Goes over the Halo game itself, and details more action the player didn't see.) Halo: First Strike (Finished. Bridges the gap between Halo and Halo 2.) Halo: Ghosts of Onyx (Finished. Lots of action.) Diablo: Legacy of Blood (Finished. Interesting book based on Diablo game.) Magician: Apprentice (Finished. Start of a good series.) Magician: Master (Finished. The Second installment of the series.) I have other books, but I seldom have time for them anymore - too busy writing my own. ballisticwaffles
Mostly what i read is Historical Textbooks or other such informational Garbische. Read Carl Sagan, cause Carl Sagan was a boss. I also delve into historical fiction, of which Harry Turtledove is one of the better ones. His novels take a major event and make a major alteration happen to utterly change it. But rather than look at it in a dry, lecture of a way, he gets the audiance attached to the charecters involved. One of my other favorite Books is 1632, which is available online as a pdf so none of you philistines have any reason not to read it. And aside from those, i also try and fit in as many classic novels as i can. THe illiad, oddysee, Aeneid, The Bahatva ghita, The Bible, The Quran, ANd more recent classics, like gullivers travels and the count of monty cristo. Not to mention the ungodly amount of Warhammer 40k books All in all i tend to keep myself well read in a variaty of subjects.
Sarita
I've been trying to work my way through The Time Machine by HG Wells, lately, but then my Nook died, so I haven't had a chance to charge it and finish it. But I not so secretly love teen paranormal romances. I liked reading Twilight. One of my favourite series was the Thirst series by Christopher Pike. I still need to finish the 3rd book and go get the 4th. I adore the House of Night series. I read more than vampire novels, lol, but that seems to be what I like right now. Dublinthefox
I've been getting more into reading recently. I started the first few chapters of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire and I hope to finish it once the movie comes out later this year.
