Clothing: When not in uniform usually formfitting but not tight, bright mixed with dark.

History:

Fana McCloud was raised on Corneria, the elder sibling of Fox. As a child she was rather close with her mother Vixy who died when both her and Fox were still young, the victim of a car bomb. After her mother's death, Fana focused a great deal on trying to gain her father's attention even though all along she was vying for his love, but to no avail. Fana became a pilot in the Cornerian Defense Force in an attempt to live up to her father and gain his acceptance. She rose through the ranks and was given her own squadron, the Furies, to command.

When James was killed by Andross Fana made it her personal mission to see the mad ape pay for his crimes. When Andross launched his invasion of Lylat, Fana's Furies squadron was part of the force sent to halt his advance by attacking Venom. During the course of the battle Fana and most of her squadron were shot down and captured, but only Fana and Claudia Leopard managed to survive and escape with the help of Lira Lupus of the Macbeth Infantry.

After the events on Venom, Fana and her squadron continued to fight Andross' minions with a passion, but was never given another opportunity to strike at the mad ape himself. When Fox finally defeated Andross, while glad that he was gone, Fana was disappointed and frustrated that she was not able to do the deed herself.

Very Secret History (Not Common Knowledge):

Fana, during the disastrous offensive on Venom, discovered through confronting Andross that she was a creation of his – used as a means of lifting the object of his unrequited affection, Vixy McCloud, from the depths of depression after what was to be her first child, a daughter, died shortly after birth. James was away at this point, and the distraught Vixy found Fana left at her doorstep. James never knew the truth, and Fox to this day doesn't. Only Fana's closest friends know, seeing as she'd be chased around by an angry mob like Frankenstein's monster – Andross, and by extension his creations, aren't too popular.

What this means in practical terms is that she can never fight Andross himself directly, as she's been programmed not to harm him, and he can render her unconscious by uttering a keyphrase, as he did when she confronted him. This causes a LOT of anger, resentment, and frustration for Fana, not to mention the existential complications it adds.

Andross' minions however are fair game, and she continues to go after them with zeal.

Personality and Traits:

Fana tends to be driven by her passions, and her greatest passion seems to be defending people. She is a dogged defender of Corneria and her friends, and extremely loyal. Her means of doing all this, however, aren't done in a cut and dry white knight manner. Fana has no qualms with smiting people who have no regard for others, not having much faith in conventional justice. People who are mean but not necessarily evil usually get roughed up verbally, or if appropriate physically. Fana tends to get into a lot of bar fights for this reason, taking pleasure in teaching the lowlifes usually present in such places a lesson – so much so that it has essentially become a pastime for her between drinks.

When socializing she can be at times coarse and definitely not very ladylike, but this is not to be mistaken for being unintelligent – she is in fact fairly keen of mind even if not of manners, she merely finds the idea of most manners as a way of dancing around someone's lack of tolerance and intellect, which she doesn't like to entertain. Idiots and the dogmatic rub her the wrong way and she isn't restrained in letting them know where their faults lie.

Clothing: Eccentric, flashy, patched together, and meant to attract attention - when she's not in uniform, that is.

History:

Claudia Leopard was one of five children in an upper class household on Corneria. Being the middle child, she had difficulty getting attention from her parents as a youth. Because of this she would often run off alone around the neighborhood, making friends with the neighbors and their kids. She would often visit the McClouds, especially enjoying Vixy's company, as she was very open and caring. The young Fana often ignored Claudia, too preoccupied with trying to win the attention of her father James.

Claudia also developed an unhealthy fascination with burning and blowing up things, perhaps as a way to get attention. Whatever the case may have been, her neurosis did not go away completely with years of therapy. Her parents decided that it would be better to channel her tendencies into an appropriate outlet rather than have her committed, so they sent her to the military, where she was employed initially in artillery. She petitioned a long time for pilot training, and eventually was allowed to fly a bomber. Claudia's real goal, however, was to be with the Furies so that she could be with her childhood friend.

When she was eventually granted a position on Fana's team, she was a bit hurt that Fana didn't remember her at all, but that didn't stop her from clinging to her and over time Fana came to consider Claudia one of her closest friends.

Personality and Traits:

Claudia is rather clingy, especially towards Fana, but usually the rest of her team as well. She generally has a bubbly, cheery, and perhaps immature and naive way about her. She is however loyal, which allows Fana and everyone else to tolerate it and sometimes even relish in her devoted attention. Her sunny disposition naturally is contrasted with her neurosis – whenever her or those she considers to be in her posse are threatened in any sort of serious way, she'll go from cute to giddily homicidal towards the aggressors till they're either dead or flee. Naturally she likes to carry lots of explosives when practical, but she's good about being restrained with them – most of the time. When she's unable to be around any of her friends, she'll usually use her downtime to play the most explosion filled video games she can find, for obvious reasons.

History:

Lira was born and raised on Macbeth, a daughter of miners. She was always rather tomboyish and also smart – she read a great many books from a very early age, at the urging of her parents. They were naturally a bit disappointed when Lira decided she wanted to join the military, expecting her to seek education and a career in something more prestigious. She joined the Macbeth Infantry and was jokingly called the “scholar†by her comrades due to her habit of reading books in her downtime.

Eventually down the road, when Andross first led his attacks on Lylat, Lira and the squad she commanded were part of the force sent to try and stop his advance by attacking Venom. It was during the offensive that she met Fana McCloud and Claudia Leopard, both members of the Furies squadron – they had been taken prisoner, and she aided in their escape. The cost of the battle however was heavy, their offensive failed disastrously and Macbeth was lost to the Venomeans.

Lira decided shortly thereafter to leverage her experience piloting mining transports to join the Furies, her squad and home both being lost. Her versatility as both a pilot and a trained soldier were enough to convince the brass, but it took awhile for Fana to accept her wholeheartedly. In time though, they came to understand each other and were close friends.

Personality and Traits:

Lira is rather levelheaded and intelligent. Her diction is a bit above what her station would suggest, due to being so well read. Her greatest strength is her ability to stay cool even in tough situations and think her way through them, not being prone to panic. She tends to inadvertently clash with people who don't understand that her cool nature doesn't necessarily mean that she doesn't care.
