LoneWolf
You know what PETA? Seriously PETA, just shut the hell up. First the tanooki suit ordeal, then moderately attractive females making satire on furries. I mean, seriously, collectively furries have donated over $1M to various charities, mostly autism reaserch (here is where I would post the source IF I COULD FIND IT), and what have you done? Protested fucking super Mario. SUPER. FUCKING. MARIO.
sroberson
I think it bothered me I couldn't figure out the gender of those 2 for a little bit...but that might be the drinks talking. I mean, if you want to try and get a message across you might not want to use body paint and wear a bikini. The only thing people will really remember you for are those chicks who stood around with a sign blocking the best part and contributing to the whole furry stigma. But I guess it would give others the image that furry fandom isn't 80% male dominated...
Wes
I remember emailing PETA a few months ago asking if they supported Nazi ideals because of the Nazi Germany's animal protection laws. They never answered my main question, the respondent just went on about how Hitler wasn't a vegetarian. I entirely oppose hurting and killing animals for no reason, but PETA are extremist and blow animal's rights out of proportion.
Thirdkoopa
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/the-big-picture/4988-Skin-Game All I'll say and need to. PETA aren't just those attention hogging people; PETA's truly terrible people. Seriously. I originally thought they had good intentions and were just executing them horribly; they're just downright bat**** insane.
Icy
PETA is just stupid anyway, so this is no surprise. I admit, I don't mind "people for the ethical treatment of animals" but they, over the years, have just taken it too far.

Nope.
Oh. For fuck's sake PETA, you bunch of ignorant stuck up retards, get off our planet already. Also, I'm 200% sure that these two girls are closet furries.

Harlow
We all knew they were bestialists. They jsut think furries are the "safe" approach of making their bestialist propagandas There are also reports that some nude protesters use nipple cups (or whatever those plastic things are called), so... that counts as not being 100% on it? CrypticQuery
I've just stopped paying attention to PETA for shit like this. I do believe the picture in the first post enticed more people against PETA's cause rather than make them go for it though.

Xortberg
I did a bit of Googling and I didn't find anything about Peta actually doing this. I did see that it's at least 2 years old and the Peta logo might have been Photoshopped on, however. That shopping bit might not be true, but I didn't find anything about Peta actually doing this so I'm a little inclined to believe it. Someone would have reported on it if they had. So yeah, even if this is something they did, it's pretty old news by now.
sroberson
I feel the overwhelming urge to say that, while PETA does have a noble goal and purpose - their implementation and means of trying to convince others of reaching the same goal as theirs is pretty messed up. Fighting the practice of torturing animals unnecessarily = good Shoving vegetarianism, doing body art, and violence = bad. Stupid bad.
Xortberg
doing body art I... fail to see how body art is bad. It can be implemented badly, but that's no reason to lump it in with shoving your beliefs in someone's face or violence :/

Harlow
...while PETA does have a noble goal and purpose... This isn't the 90's. PETA's obsolete nowadays. More whacky than noble
sroberson
Eh, the purpose of them remains the same even though they have gone off the deep end. And I apologize, I didn't mean to attack body art in general - just the instances used by PETA to convey...whatever silly message they have this time that is being misinterpreted. The mostly naked part was also not under attack, just the use of near nudity to also convey...something or another 'obviously' not related to boobs.
