Anybody feel somthing spiritual about the Krazoa?

Bizarre (yet oddly entertaining) forum shenanigans aside, I've been thinking about maybe taking a crack at an arrangement of that tune. It's one of the few Star Fox soundtracks that hasn't been remixed. Any interest?

Most definitely! I would be interested in see what you could come up with having heard a few of your other works.

you mean your an actual fan? and not just a lust driven furry?

I don't think I could call myself a furry having no real interest in anthros outside of Star Fox. I sincerely appreciate the art work for Krystal, but other than that, Nintendo sadly gave her no character or personality really to love :/ . So to say one is an "actual fan" of Krystal is to tread a thin line between lust driven furry and a somebody noticing the subtlety of the artwork done on her.

Oh definitely, I think it would be quite worthwhile. >:3

I have always thought of the Krazoa more of as an ancient race who no longer had the need for physical bodies and opted for a pure energy form instead. I find them spiritual in the way may find certain ancient civilizations spiritual.

well i would like to move beyond all this fandom talk(been down that road to many times) but yes they are called spirts for a reason, but i know 6 or 7 other people that say they don't have any clue as what i mean by the krazoa to apear mystical. I kinda begun to belive it was my own interpritation.

After reading through the description of what the Krazoa spirits are, at least from what the interwebz say about it, it sounds like they are a bit of a rip off from the Triforce....Collect them all and you become god-mode. Knowing that the game was bastardized by Legend of Zelda and Banjo Kazooie, I could see it happening exactly that way

Miyamoto: Dinsoar? Planot? ... Need Moar Star Fox! But Moar Zelda! TRIFOARCE!

Rareware: Ooo...k.....And need moar Banjo Kazooie too

Miyamoto: OOOH?!? You fire! Get out! But furst gimme gayme!

OK TIME FOR A SERIOUS ANSWER FROM ME OF ALL PEOPLE.

First of all it was pretty obvious that even with AJC's terribad grammar that he was saying that he'd like Krystal as a character regardless of her sex. But that's not here nor there.

As for the Krazoa, yes, they are vaguely defined spirit ghost thingies. Actually, in all honesty, the Krazoa were one of the things I really liked about SFA and wished were expanded upon more. Krazoa Palace had a great aesthetic, as did their trials, their musical motiffs were some of the best original music in the game, and they could channel magic dark energy through the force stones. They could have had a really good plot set up, had Rareware not gotten lazy.

Also the fact that Krystal could channel their powers as a medium always intruiged me. She's not naitve to Sauria, so how does she do that? I always theorized back in my heavy-duty fanwanking days that the krazoa were possibly on other planets as well, and Cerenia was one of them, and Cerenia was destroyed because that magical power went unstable much like how Sauria was doing in SFA, and it was because of this connection, Krystal could channel the magic. Furthermore, I theorized Andross was possibly the one who caused the destruction of Cerenia via siphoning the magical power of it back when he was alive, which would explain both how Krystal recognizes his ANDROSS-VISION and how Andross would know that Krystal could channel the power in the first place.

OR IT COULD ALL JUST BE PLOTHOLES but whatever.

srsly tho dis fucken music man

dis music.

@Robert

That might be one if the best theories on how the Krazoa spirits work that I have heard. I always just figured they hung around Sauria, but that just never felt quite right for a entity that is supposedly as powerful as they are. I originally felt that perhaps Krystals power originated or was specific to Cerenians (which i still believe this...but then you could argue your point on Krazoa spirits being in other planets, and also led to the destruction of Cerenia due to Andross' interference which is largely considered a canon event I think) instead of it being a power she gained by being on Sauria for whatever unspecified length of time she actually spent on the planet before being put into Krazoan Cryo. But again, that feels kind if weak as well. I think its not so much Rareware got lazy that these questions popped up...its probably more of Nintendos fault for making them completely change their original Dinosaur Planet...so with that in mind...its probably a lot of plot holes. Though if Nintendo were to run with your theory I think it would have a pretty awesome outcome as far as developing new game stories

rob knows exactly how to descirbe why i like the krazoa, actualy stole the word out my mouth! As for his disbelief in my claims, well we have argued this a thousand times. Anyway not much else to chat about. I think it was the music that really gave the krazoa and their shrines that mystic feeling.

Well...not spiritual, but they certainly felt ominous and mysterious-Here we are in a ruined temple from an age long past, on a planet full of Dinosaurs. Its pretty cool :)

I did feel spiritual about it. If anyone could do atmosphere, it's Rare, and they really pulled that off with this game. Krazoa's backstory, the adventure, the content, the atmosphere, it really pulls you into the game, as you would expect from Rare. Not to mention the amazing soundtrack that just adds to the experience by the always fantastic David Wise.

Yeah, I guess they did seem spiritual at first. In fact sometimes when I first started playing the game I would get that " WTF, is that?" Feeling. Meaning I I got sorta creeped out a little. Don't laugh. I'm serious.

Well sure, I thought they were like Aztec spiritual stuff

Less Aztec, more Inca. Remember: Aztecs sacrificed people.
