Prince Elite
In 1998 The Verve released a song called "Bitter Sweet Symphony." The band acquired a license to use a sampling of The Rolling Stones song 'The Last Time' notably the string section used throughout the song. However, they were sued by ABKCO Records (who owned the rights to The Last Time) who claimed they used too much of the sample. In the end ABKCO won the suit, walking away with all profits from Bitter Sweet Symphony and song credit going to the Rolling Stones. In an interview, Keith Richards defended the move declaring his song to be better. The Last Time [media=] Bitter Sweet Symphony After witnessing an argument over the two songs. ballisticwaffles
IM with the Stones on this one man. When you essentially take the basic tune of a song and add some bells and whistles to make it "diffrent" its not good, M'kay?
