Vulvokunvrii
So I had previously rented Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City from Gamefly. I beat it in one day. Its was pretty fun! Buuut....it seemed a bit off.... ORC was great and all, but it didn't seem...Resident Evil-iy to me.....It felt too loose and more of just a plain old 3rd person shooter. The story was great, thegmae play was fun but a bit tricky at some parts-but that WAS part of the fun-, you got to meet HUNK in person, saw Nikolai, Leon, Claire, Sherry, and Doctor William Birkin. IT was pretty cool to see Resdient Evil icons, and the ending was easy for me-SLaughtering two players who were the two "hotile" squad mates if you spare Leon instead of killing him was piece of cake. But....It just felt a bit rushed, and lacking that Resdient Evil...."luster" I belive? Like in the other Resident Evils, you had YOUR one character, met some alog the way and had a very very excellent story that kept you guessing at every turn (most of the time). ORC just threw it at you and said, "There it is, what do you think?" ORC felt more of a promotional game than an ACTUAL game. It was good to get into Resident Evil again. The game WAS indeed fun, but not something I'd play again. Not much else I can really say about it right now....other than rate i out of ten. If I had to choose, I'd rate it....8.5/10Its story was pretty cool, yet one sided and obvious once you thought on itIT felt more like Halo, but Halo is still okay-ishMeeting Icons was fun1Being Umbrella for once was VERY VERY VERY excellentGetting to decide if you let Leon go, or tamper with the story and actually kill him, was very fun. What abou you guys and gals? If you have it still or have rented it like did, what are or were you thoughts? HOw would you rat this game, and would you play it again? Vy'drach
IT felt more like Halo, but Halo is still okay-ish Have you not heard of the SOCOM series of third person shooters? The last good one made was Confrontation by Slant Six, the same people who made ORC. Granted it played more like SOCOM 4 which was made by Zipper Interactive, but that's because SOCOM is generally a very realistic shooter series, with realistic weapon stats, but ORC is not realistic, and Zipper dropped the ball on SOCOM 4 and made it the same way. As for me, I'd rate it a 7. I didn't expect it to play at all like Resident Evil (which if you followed development, neither should you of), so I wasn't disappointed there. It had a decent weapon variety, though some weapons were just outright outclassed by others, such as the Franchi SPAS-12 compared to the Benelli M1014, but the game was decently difficult, except boss fights. You really want to get rid of the standard pistol, however. Samurai Edge is amazing for a handgun, incredible ammo capacity, high damage (a good shot to the forehead on a zombie will instantly kill it), and high rate of fire. AI was dumber than rocks, but ORC is supposed to be played co-op, so the AI wasn't fine tuned, which is why they tend to fall in love with doors or corners of the room. There weren't enough Cerberus, but meh. Replay value was alright, and character differences were fun. My personal favourite character was Vector. Wasn't a bad game, just not a core Resident Evil game, which is fine. Some of my favourite RE titles aren't core titles, namely Gun Survivor and Dead Aim.
