russiandog38
I agree with you Robert. The first thing I thought when I read this article was why the hell would you want to leave a great studio like Retro.

Krock
You want to know why people leave Retro? That's life and business. Perhaps they were not fond of the direction that company may have been going, maybe the higher-ups in the company were not making correct decisions, or most likely, Retro is having major financial problems. I don't work at Retro, nor do I know anyone who does, so don't quote me on that, but I do know the overall industry, and unfortunately this just happens sometimes. Ellanie
On the rumor, I could spot it being fake pretty easily, too. Too generic and easy looking. A nice model of Fox and a spiffy new arwing, then we're in business, but this is just someone stirring the pot. On an entirely different note, Miyamoto has stated that he would like to make a FPS-style game next. Whether this is his new IP or not, it's something to keep an eye on. Also, hasn't Retro Studios stated that they are working on a new IP, and/or do they have the manpower to handle two major releases?
Krock
Retro never said that they're working on a new IP, in fact they've been quiet for two years. Last year they said they were working on a Wii U game that "everyone wants them to do," however they released a statement saying that it's no longer the case. Also Miyamoto never said he wanted to make a FPS as his next project, all he said is that he is intrigued by the genre.
DZComposer
I went to the Austin performance of the Zelda Symphony of the Goddesses on Friday, and they announced that the people from Retro were there as VIP guests. So, they're still doing stuff. On another note, DAMMMIT, I MISSED MY CHANCE TO LIQUOR THEM UP AND GET THEM TO SPILL THE BEANS!
sroberson
On another note, DAMMMIT, I MISSED MY CHANCE TO LIQUOR THEM UP AND GET THEM TO SPILL THE BEANS! I for some reason got a humorous image of handing each one of them a can of Fox Tail beer and see if they flinch or something. But yes, I would have definitely donated money for you to have done that and get the scoop lol
sjrathbun812
Yeeeeaah fake, lol. However, I'm hoping Retro is/will make a Starfox game. I'm sure they could capture the spirit of franchise perfectly... but, seeing that Retro is losing a lot of its past workers, I wonder if this is going to have an effect on their games... Mr-Chris
Sounds good, but also sounds fake unfortunately.
