Aspergers vs. HFA

Can I be honest with you about something Peppy? I think you are too obsessed with Aspergers. I mean it's your life live it how you want to...but I wonder if constantly thinking about it and posting about it is good for you. I mean, you're a human being. You're not an aspie. You're just a human like everyone else. We all have our individual struggles and intricacies. There are things about all of of us that don't "fit the mold" so to speak. I just think it would do you a lot of good to let go of the whole aspie thing and just live your life.

Personally, I've never seen anything about you that suggests you're not a completely "normal' (I hate that word but alas...expression of thought is the key here) person....other than the fact that I constantly see you referring to Aspergers. Just my two cents, and I hope you're not offended...but you are posting this kind of stuff on a public forum...so it's to be expected that people are going to have opinions on the matter.

As for high-functioning autism and aspergers...I guess they could be the same. Again, I honestly don't even really believe in aspergers syndrome. I think it's just a term coined by a corrupt psychology world where the entire goal is, and always has been, to demand utter and complete conformity while discouraging any form of individuality whatsoever. Of course, I'm an idealist and a bit of an extreme thinker, so take everything I say with a grain of salt.

Just my thoughts. Please don't get mad at me for sharing them.

HFA is not a formal diagnosis and you wouldn't hear people using the term outside of pop psych and on the street. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_functioning_autism

Asperger syndrome is, however, 'high' on the autistic spectrum. So if you're a 'HFA', you're probably an aspie. Or something, I'm not a special needs psych expert or anything.

@FalcosFinest: Yes, you are an extreme thinker. I find a lot of difficulty in summing up the entire field of psychology into the label of 'conspiracy' seeing as though there's as much argument and bickering in there as there is on your average star fox fan forum. Psychiatry, however...
