Is Starfox worth getting a SNES for?

I've been thinking about getting a SNES lately to play some games like Super Metroid, A Link to the Past, and Starfox. I have a question though, is starfox really that great of a game? I played a rom of it for like 2 minutes and almost died of boredom.

Do you got starfox 64? cause if you do the orginal is almost unnessary cause they are basically the same game only one is better. I do suggest getting an SNES if you want it for other games and if you find starfox real cheap get it its worth a try.

yeah, I have SF64, and I love it. I still think it would be kinda cool to own the original though...

Go ahead and get it, I would. Besides a rom aint that great as it is hard to play console games with a keyboard, well at least for me. But if you liked 64 get it they play similar and are both pretty good games

I seriously say it's not worth it, the voices of the game just... made me hate it. Gameplay is great though.

I don't mind the voices. Other than the voices though, you're saying it IS worth it? or not?

As an old-school gamer, I say give it a shot. If you liked Star Fox 64 you'll like Star Fox for SNES.

The controls take a li'l getting used to, sence it's not as loose feeling as the other games.

(Try changing the control scheme on the options menu if it's to hard for you.)

I think the orrigenal SF acctually has some things better then SF64. For one thing it has 2 secret levels. (One of 'em "Black Hole" is basically a "warp zone" though)

The music is more upbeat & better. The enemies, & levels are more orrigenal & creative. (In my opinion) And the challenge is better.

And there's 3 difficulty routes to choose from. (Each with different levels)

Starwing was the reason I got a SNES. Well it came with the SNES anyway. I just wanted a complete Starfox collection.

Well allow me to say that the original SF was revolutionary in it's own right as far as graphics gamplay and sound as well as the VFX chip allowing for the voices. It also was fun and addicting for the SNES at the time 3D was a barely explored idea but SF took full advantage of that.It was definantly worth it to buy it.Find an SNES and get the orginal just beacuse I find it is a true classic and should still be played.

Now in the defense of SF64 it featured a good voice over as well as the first rumble pack to for the first time feel the action that was on the screen. It have very good sound and Music for the 64 and the replay value is high due to the three routes and secret jump points in the whole game made SF64 worthwhile.

Whatever you choose to do is up to you but I'm saying getthe old one.You know back in the day.Good times.
