Redeemer
Hey guys! I'm just curious to see how many of you work out? One time, I was in my early days of the 30 Day Shred, and our very own Xort once said he'd like to get healthy, as he once used to do cross country training! If I'm recalling this incorrectly, sorry. X3 So I'm wondering, how many of you actually get some exercise into your regular day? How many of you WANT to get some into your regular day? Or are you already an active person? Why have I made this poll? Curiosity to be honest, because I'm pretty sure I've seen some of you talk about jogging and such before! Over the past year, I've done a wide range of workouts. I'm pretty sure I can make one up for you guys, if you'd ever be interested just PM me. Man, I wish we all lived closer so that we could go to the gym together. :(
CrypticQuery
Yup, this demotivational describes me quite well; ---- With that out of the way, I really should exercise more than I normally do, though I'm trying to start heading out to the park in the mornings now.
Redeemer
Funny crazyfoo, I always pictured you to be rather health-conscious. Move to Scotland so we can go for morning walks together! ;_;
chaos_Leader
What does it count as if my work is highly active, but isn't technically a workout for workout's sake?
Redeemer
That counts in my opinion. What activity do you do at work?
LoneWolf
Exercise? I don't do much exercise because I metabolize stuff like a furnace. Burn everything up. Also, why exercise when in the furry fandom I can portray myself as a sexy manbeast and nobody will be the wiser However, in all seriousness, after attempting to play a round of Ultimate Frisbee and touch Football with my friends and just about dying, I'm considering taking up running to get myself into some sort of decent shape. I don't want to be in mortal pain when trying to sprint to a touchdown.
thunderflare
I think I'll put at least once a week, exercise varies for me from week to week so it could be more or less.
chaos_Leader
That counts in my opinion. What activity do you do at work? I work here: http://osfashland.org/ shifting scenery in the theaters between shows, "changing out a show" among other things. There's a lot of heavy lifting involved, and it's pretty much 2 hours+ on a daily basis. I've already noticed some major bulking up since I started working there. Harlow
I used to go to the gym at least 3 times a week, but due to the constant chagning of my schedules at university and various exams, I don't go as much as I want. Currently I go once a week and recently I'm doing random stuff you can do with no equipment at home.
Cavemonkynick
The closest I come to exercise is yard work. I could make up a lot of crap about how I'm more mind oriented or how I'm not concerned with appearances but the bottom line is I am lazy and I'm proud. When it comes to physical activity, I do just enough to get by.
Scourge
Does running up the stairs count? .________. But in all seriousness, I actually do go out and run at least twice a week, but my metabolism is so damn hyper that no matter what I do, I look absolutely skinny anyway :l
mjakob42
I didn't used to be all that athletic, but when I made the decision to enlist, I realized that it would be a really good idea to get in shape prior to BMT. And how much working out is a phenomenal mind/body experience - I feel a lot better about myself, I'm eating a lot healthier, NO MORE INSOMNIA!!! (that's my favorite part)

Thu'um
I am rather health concious, but in a weird way.....you see i'll eat like a full package of cookies. But then in my shame i'll eat very healthly for a couple of weeks. I can say i really owe it to my mom, she cooks home made meals almost everynight. Never uses butter, and avoids salt. However, i exercise alot. I'm a smaller guy, 130 pounds but i blame it all on an 8% body fat. To be competetive at wrestling, you have to go to practice about everyday after school, and meets are on both on fridays and saturdays leaving me with 1 day to rest. I lift weights about twice a week to try'in get a competetive edge, and run 4 days to stay in good shape.
Steve
I used to be pretty active on my teens years, from soccer to tennis. Right now, just walking/jogging once in a while, "while" being really random.
Sarita
I get more exercise during the semesters I'm in school than I do during the summer. I can already feel the fat building up on my love handles. ;_; During school I actually get kinda restless if I'm sitting because I'm pretty much always walking-- to class, from class, blah blah blah. My campus is so small it's easy to walk everywhere. The last couple of years I've lived in some of the farthest dorms from everything, this next year I live in one a little closer. So I don't know how well THAT will work out.
Peter
Exercising is fun. I actually like doing it, I don't force myself to. Good thing, because I eat like a horse.
sroberson
Gah, even SF-O is making me feel self conscious about my lack of fitness Mind you, I am in pretty good shape - but nothing near what I looked like when I was constantly practicing for canoe marathons and working as a landscape maint. person. Gestalt
I used to run Cross Country and Track, which involed 6-8 miles daily 5 days a week for 6 months striaght with a 10+ mile long run every weekend. Then hit the soccer fields for practice, and aftewards referee a few games to pick up a few extra bucks. But then, after 2 seasons striaght, i hurt my leg...nothing too bad... but i had to sit out my 11th grade year. My leg is better now...but i'm afraid i've grown far too lazy.
Redeemer
What kind of a man would I be if I didn't? This kind: Yeah but he's Scottish. You have to have a Scottish diet to be like that. Such as deep fried everythings. I exercise less when I have classes, strangely enough Sissi. XD I think it's because studying is something I struggle with so I fully concentrate on that. However I'm changing my ways. Health wise, I've improved greatly. I've been on a strict diet and been working out often, and in total I've lost 50lbs. o3o I started all this waaaay back last year. It's slow progress but it's definitely something worth while. I just need to be careful because I'm asthmatic and I have a few injuries that twang when I strain myself. :/
DoctorAllosaurus
My work is my workout, constant pushing, pulling, lifting, moving. I'd like to actually start doing a real workout routine but can't get motivated to do it by myself, like I guess I just need somebody to keep me on track and push me toward my goal of not being a walking talking stick. I can recommend some great routines you can do at home. I just did one there and I feel pretty good, the muscles in my shoulders are aching though. Gene Inari
I've been getting out a bit more lately now that better weather has come around. I'm another on the 'fast motabolism' boat. I'm all of 120 at 5'2", so I'm not a big person at all. I've been playing tennis with my rommie/best bud at least once a week, if not more. Both of us miss our in-shape high school days and we're both working to just be fit rather than losing any weight.
