Kotaku and their misleading article titles.

Nintendo publishes the series, they never developed a single Super Smash Bros. game. It started with HAL and kept going from there. I'm actually pretty optimistic about this and think Namco Bandai can pull off something special. It's not as if they don't have Sakurai there to oversee what it is they're doing. I just hope they use some fairly decent looking models (Brawl Fox was just... ugh) and give back some character identity to each combatant (maybe probably it's just me, but I felt a lot of the characters in Brawl and what they could do were from Brawl, and not their respective games).

Actually, Sakurai will still be leading the development.

Lonebro hit the nail on the head here. Now if only we could have a bigger character roster...

I have to agree to that.

Even if Nintendo doesn't make the next SSB I'm still going to get it.

No,the boobs would be everywhere if Team Ninja were behind it.

But, hell, I would find it amusing if an iconic SC character like Ivy or, better, Voldo, were in the new Smash Bros, but Soul Calibur really hasn't gotten much love on Nintendo games since SC2, so while likely, that may not happen.

But I agree, Namco Bandai makes great games, and Sakurai is still running the show. We have nothing to worry about.

Whoa, now I'm hipped up for next E3, hopefully, the director from Tales of Vesperia, Soul Calibur and Smash bros will come up with something really epic.

Well, since you put it that way.

No.

I guess I/we can't.

Admittedly there aren't really any other Star Fox characters to add to the character lineup that would make much sense in actually fighting - that is if adding another SF character is an option.

I was surprised when I heard this! But Namco is a good developer, and having a non-Nintendo owned developer might bring something fresh to the table!

*hopes they sneak an Ace Combat cameo in there* XD

Krystal would be a great addition! Give her staff back to her, and we would still get the gun aspect of the boys but a different take on close combat. That would be pretty sweet. Though, it would be interesting to see if she ended up in the combat suits of Assault and Command or her tribal gear.

We can dream.
