This is my first time posting here, but I thought I should suggest my idea to some other SF fans. Please Forgive me if i put this in the wrong spot. ^^"

Anyway, I have an Idea to in my spare time, make a comic series about StarFox adventures, BUT I do not mean the SFAD as we know it. I want to go back and do as much research as possible on the game that was transformed into SFAD, Dinosaur Planet. When I found out about this game I was greatly upset. I really liked the idea of dinosaur planet, and i'd like to see it remade how it was suppost to be, BUT if it was, we wouldn't have krystal, the planet Sauria, and some stuff in assault (my favorite SF game) wouldn't make sense. So I was thinking about making a comic about the story of dinosaur planet with the inclusion of starfox, but not making it silly like SFAD did. (i mean i will NEVER forgive the whole no blaster thing.) I want to try and make something true to the original idea of dinosaur planet and yet still make it so that it makes sense with the recent starfox games. I don't want to change whats cannon or anything, i just want to make something a little better then what was starfox adventures.

So what do you guys think? Any advice? tips? I've done a TON of research on dinosaur planet, but any more info you have can help. =3

thanks! =3

OKAY so thank you guys for your input, but I now have some specific problems i need to figure out. Here is the list. (I'll update this as i come up with more)

1. Where is the cornerian fleet? Why are/arn't they involved?

Crap I know about Dinosaur planet? Ooookay:

  • Krystal was originally a cat
  • Instead of Fox, you were supposed to play Sabre (dont remember species)
  • The warpstone was originally the swapstone, who let you change between Krystal and Sabre
  • Krystal's staff was alot more simplistic
  • Sabre used a sword
  • Krystal kicked ass with a staff
  • The two were raised by a wizard named Randorn
  • Randorn eventually went missing/was kidnapped
  • Kite (the damned pterodactyl) was originally Krystal's companion
  • Tricky was Sabre's companion

Now, if you're thinking of making a comic about the whole idea, more power to ya, internet comics arent easy. Heres some good draws and screenies that should help:

Hope that helps!

And as a bit of story-writer's advice, focus hard on the whole Randorn plot.

Thank you for your input! This is a good possibility for setup of the story. I appreciate you showing me this. =3 :krystal:

.... well, I'd rather you NOT steal my writing from my RP, but yeah, you might like that.

I disagree on that point. I can imagine cutting out SFAD from SFA pretty well. You'd only have to replace the Sauria Stage with some additional stage in Space. As Krystal doesn't really provide any all too useful information, take her out, place Peppy into her Arwing. And as his interaction is mostly with krystal, replace Panther with someone else.

I understand what your saying, but my goal is to not change anything that is already cannon. So I cannot change events in SFA or SFC. I can have a different approach in getting to those cannon points in SFAD, but I cannot change anything in SFA.

Get it? that might have been a little confusing...

another source here

http://tcrf.net/Star...lanet_Leftovers, but also here, I have no direct contact to the source.

I only found this, I can't give any evidence on authenticity, you would have to ask the one who made this, but I believe in it, for all of Krystal's lines sound exactly like her in the few actually leaked ones, except for one with either different quality or something. He does answer to it saying "princess Kyte", so it's likelyy it's not even supposed to be Krystal talking. Short summary of what to find in this is:

- Sabre is to find the Horn of Truth, but "only a true believer ,may cross the divide" past the ravine that lies between Sabre and the Horn. He only is told, that "it will summon help in times of need" though.

_______________________________________________________________

-Randorn is under Scales' thump

- Cat people (in this case, mammals in general) like Krystal and Sabre are obviously foreigners on Dinosaur Planet

- classic Krystal dressed up a lot better than the new one

_______________

"The dragon" (it seems Krystal knows what dragon, so it's likely she met him once before, or saw him or talked about him) has "summoned the power of the Ancient Camerian Heart" (Put the c behind the i and you get "American" lol)

The dragon killed Sabre in battle. This battle and the summoning have taken place in Krazoa palace and the palace is destroyed by the time krystal arrives.

It seems the dragon needs the Spellstone, and Krystal seems to be able of preventing all this with a Spellpage Randorn left behind in the palace.

The whole destruction-everything-is-lost-without-time-travel thing happened while Krystal had entered some timerip.

This is one whole lot of stuff, isnt it?^^ And it leaves a lot of questions open one (in this case you) can freely interpret.

For instance, is the "timerip" Krystal was in linked to the method of time travel she uses to save Sabre, or was it even the very rip that was somehow manipulated and kept her away, while the dragon attacked.

Also, is the dragon Scales,an actual dragon serving Scales or the actual force pulling Scales' strings? Remember: Dinosaur planet is actually not sci-fi but Fantasy, with all the old relics left behind and a mage being the father of the protagonist. A conventional western dragon is no no-go.

Why does it require the Spellstones to keep Dinosaur Planet together? What's with gravity? Obviously, some other object seems to create a force that counters or nullifies gravity.

And of course it independantly leaves many things open in terms of integrating it into the Star Fox universe. I'll only name a few of the obvious ones.

- If the whole thing happened already and everyone failed to make it, how is the Star Fox team to participate in it? Were they there from the start and failed? Or is it the Spellpage that changes everything? Having the Spellpage cause the plates to drift apart doesn't work, as it's already established that the plates drift apart due to the spellstones missing. And taking from "Farewell, beloved Falco", the very thing attracting Star Fox' attention isn't some distress call or so, but the plates drifting apart.

So Star Fox will be there in any case. Yet the Spellpage will still do something that changes the course of actions. And this is my personal suggestion as to how: Have team SF accompany Krystal on what ever she is doing. General Scales knows about the timerip and how it works. And he makes sure Krystal does too. As things get dire, they try entering the timerip to change the past or turn up as a multiplied reinforcement, but the Sharpclaws have corrupted the timerip. Instead of taking them to the past, they're taken to the future or locked away for a few hours. After the lost battle, the team and Krystal recover the Spellpage, which is used to cleanse the timerip or just turn it to "Backwards" instead of "forwards", but in this case, they'd only travel back a few hours or a day at best, as the dinosaur Krystal talks to in the third part cannot be alive any later.

Also, "removing the corruption" just gives it somewhat the kinda fantasy feel I like :D. Scales even being capable of something like that can be explained by him being possessed by Andross, also giving him the ability or the knowledge to do that kinda stuff.

Last thing to adress for me would be all the old stuff that is left there. Ok if you want, just stick to magic being unexplained science, I can't offer anything better myself right now tbh. All the ruins along with the relics that weild these weird old powers. Something tangent to that, but easier to adress are the Krazoa. Their stature along with the mask that represents their face suggests them not being any dinosaurs. They look more like humans/monkeys or pretty much every civilized species.

Why did they vanish, did they even vanish, and if not, where are they now? My most likely guess is, that most of them are on Venom by now. But it could be anything. Hell, they could even be actual humans, along with being the common ancestors of all civilized species, explaining them all being humanoid, or in this case Krazoamorph. The variant with the humans would be my favorite, as it just contains the most epicnezzz!!!oneone.

Ok this last paragraph didn't contribute to the SFAD plot, sorry, but it's nevertheless an open question. More interesting would be what the spirits are, though, the Krazoa spirits, along with Andross' spirit. Fox and Tricky do meet a Krazoa, yet I doubt it's a real Krazoa, as it doesn't reveal what lies behind the mask. It might as well either be a spirit controlling the Mask and the "body" or even Andross himself in disguise. The thing I associate with them most would be the ascended ancients in Stargate. Beings that once were humans and were able to rise to a higher level of existence, transforming themselves into a cluster of pure energy.

Two small notes on the very end:

To be honest, I like classic Krystal a lot more. I don't get why they changed so much about her. New Krystal is like a second Slippy in Assault, and in Adventures, she is just a useless voice in your head, similarly to Navi from LoZOOT but Navi actually said useful stuff. Classic Krystal is deeply engaged in the plot, she obviously takes part in a lot of fights and it also seems, she is, other than the new one, not only capable to protect herself, but also capable and needed to protect others, such as Sabre.

Also Fox was lucky with the staff. Pigma also found a mysterious object and heard a female voice in his head. It didn't end for him very well, though :-P.

Yeah, a planetary disaster is taking place and the CDFF does nothing. What are they doing that they

can't help out and why didn't Fox use a blaster or plasma rifle or something? These are questions I've

asked myself many, many times.

Totally do it!!!!
