A reminder about signatures.

This has become such an issue lately, I feel like I must remind you all, again.

We ask you to please limit the height of your signatures to 200px or less. This has always been the case.

Actually seems that quote in there is bumping it over the 200px mark.

it's total signature size, not just banner size, remember that.

EDIT: You CAN go around this, if you feel the need to post a lot of stuff as your signature (assuming it's not heavy size wise), you can do a spoiler tag, just like Vydrach. Just don't abuse, of course.

Did not know about this, I guess it's good for future reference seeing as of right now I am nowhere exceeding a size limit. :P

Is there a such thing about a signature being too long?

My signature is slightly over 200px total. Is that okay? I can remove/spoiler the quote if necessary.

If anything I'm probably the biggest offender on the site *looks down at sig*

So how exactly would I fix it? Seriously, I don't want to have to deal with issues because of something I could have been aware of.

Spoiler, or remove Guile and the quote, or the 98% of teenagers and the Falco and RD line. Basically one picture and quote, or the other unspoilered.

SIGNATURE POLICY

1. Signatures must abide by the main posting rules.

2. Please keep the image sizes reasonable. Any image taller than 200 pixels will be removed. If your image causes a screen at 1280x1024 to require horizontal scroll bars, it will be removed.

3. Signatures have a 300 character limit (including bbcode tags) enforced by the forum software.

4. You may not use any form of script in your signature, server-side or otherwise. This is for security reasons.

5. You may not have more than one animated GIF in your sig, and it may not be so large as to distract people from reading posts.6. If a staff member tells you to change your signature, please do so. Refusal will result in an admin removing your signature.

It's a little dated, though. IPB is set to reject sigs over 6 lines.

Is that better? But I'm allowed to put an ordinary image as long as it won't stretch the page horizontally or cause my posts to stretch the page length right?

You could still have the Falco thing, it was just the stacking that was the issue.

HOw do you tell your signature size? I always thought as long as the site doesn't say "oops an error was detected" that is was okay...

Whats my signaturee's size?

^ I kind of thought that too. I don't think I'm over the limit... am I?

There's an image in the first post that can help you determine how large your signature is. We're not all that concerned about those that are only a few pixels bigger, but typically any bigger than that and they become disruptive to other forum members.

*Holds up cell phone to find that it was approximately the same size as the max signature size*

*Places it next to signature*

Woo hoo!
