Guest
...and apparently the Star Fox one too. I actually came to gather some inspirations and have a second platform to post on when the time is there. I'll just stick to my Nickname, therefore Hello SFO, my name is Glacier. I think I should start off, why I'm actually here. I have several books concepted, but I start off again and again but never find the confidence to stick to one version. Partly this is due to me not reading much myself, therefore not passively gathering too many narration techniques and my own expectations as to what I make (I make other stuff with some friends, but in the Fantasy scene) are generally too high for myself to meet. So before I keep tryharding, I thought I'd practise by working on my franchise-based inspirations. From time to time, I have sudden inspirations that contain long stories that play either in an original world, or an existing Franchise. Often ones linked to my childhood or reminding me of them. One of them being Star Fox. I had an initial one for this, but it got bigger, so I'm not posting any bits yet. I will soon, though, as I already have started the concrete writing on the first arc. Another reason is of course to look for inspirations myself. Let's hope I find some. Looking at this Forum fascinated me, I didn't know what people meant by "Star Fox has a hardcore fan community", until I found this place. I didn't even know about Star Fox II and the microcosmos it created so many of you so eagerly engage in. To those who are, I'm unfortunately not your kind of Star Fox fan. I'm even too young to have lived through the fascination of SF 1. I got it through SF64. This is also why I'm actually more familiar and more comfortable in the bigger SF universe the newer games are destinated in. I'm sorry about that. In any case, I'm rather one of the softcore fans of the franchise. I'm just fascinated at the sheer potential for fiction it contains. Theoretically, one can create huge stories, without even scratching the canon-based plot line (mine isn't one of those though) I'm not a fan of let's-fight-apes-for-all-eternity though, because for a setting that is about desperately fighting apes, you could use something based off planet of the Apes any time. The nickname "Glacier" is based on an OC from my SF fanfiction, which is based off me. He's by far not the only one, but the one with the largest depth right now, and the one I tend to identify with. He's one of the first ones introduced and the first really central one to be introduced. Others come along after the very first arc. When I post it, please do not expect too much quality in terms of well narration. I'm not looking for resonance, but for constructive criticism. I'm not a telepath and can't read non-written thoughts. I do keep a good eye on keeping everything logical though.

PsyMuffin
Welcome to SF-O Glacier, just like most newcomers I would usually say a little thing such as welcome, but you on the other hand deserve something more. I really hope to see some interesting Fan Fic from you sir, for I am what I guess you could call a "Hardcore Fan". Like Scourge said there aren't very many left here, but for those who are should enjoy what is to come of you. With that said, hope you have a wonderful time here at SF-O

Hidi
Yes, rather interesting bio you've got there. You sound a lot like me in some ways. Welcome to SF-O while we may not all be die-hard fans, we certainly like our Star Fox games (I like Star Fox 64 in particular), and our artwork and fanfictions! I'm also a fan of Fantasy/Otherworldly books and things like that. I'm looking forward to seeing some of your works, maybe we'll get to see some soon! If you ever get stumped for ideas, whether for writing a fiction, or even artwork, feel free to ask me for inspiration. Hope to see you around! sroberson
Welcome to the party Glacier! I guess I can sort of be characterized as a soft core fan as I went on hiatus just recently and have only been a more avid fan of a few months ago. I have been interested by the fanfiction surrounding Star Fox and the ability to personalize the characters and give them more "human" like personification and emotions, trials, etc. I started on a while back and been hoping to work on it again in the near future now that I am wandering around here more often. Anyways, again, Welcome! Don't forget to learn more about the TF2 server and games we have if you are interested! I just got involved with it and found it to be pretty fun!
