Annoying Tumblr Thing of the Week: Tumblr needs to stop giving people writing advice. Oh god. Please. Stop. This...this will not end well, friends.

People who practically shove you while getting out of a train car, and then proceed to give you a dirty look as if YOU did something wrong...yeah, well I oughta'....

People who punch you in the face expect not to receive the same.

Spring loaded faucets. I'm not saying they're a stupid idea but they're a stupid idea.

The same cover to a lot of good/great games that have come out recently.  What I mean is that the protagonist, or whomever, is on the front cover either in a slouched position or just standing there either holding something, or nothing, looking at the ground.  I'll show two covers that I'm talking about:

20121024143947!Tomb_Raider_(2013_video_g

and

Official_cover_art_for_Bioshock_Infinite

Now, these are some great games, but the poses for a lot of the games' protagonists on the front cover are becoming too similar.

I'll let the cover pass if it's something like this:

Just_Cause_2.jpg

That cover just feels creative and unique.  Granted, the game was cool and such, the cover is what caught me.  It just feels like the covers for the two games above were just slapped onto paper and were touched up with a few special effects to make it more visually appealing:  TR (2013) wanted a more serious and kind of movie-esque look; BI wanted a more colorful and action-esque look (I know, it looks similar to Uncharted 1's cover in the way the character is posed).

Copycat poses have been going on forever, this article is filled with them: http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/tracing/tracing3.htm

  • 2 weeks later...

Drivers, the turn signals are there to tell the other drivers where and when are you going to turn or to tell the rest that you can't move for a reason, NOT TO SYMBOLIZE THE SWEET RAVE PARTY YOU HAVE INSIDE YOUR CAR WHILE GOING COMPLETELY STRAIGHT :hehe:
