xWrath68x
Anyone think that their would be the slightest chance of a new star fox game similar to Adventures? Ohgawhd I loved that game. Still do.
Hidi
Probably not seeing that people weren't very happy with Star Fox being in that game (It was never meant to be a Star Fox game in the first place). Most people want to see a game closer to Assault, which had a mix between flight and on-foot missions. Perhaps the ability to explore a bit would be nice, but what people really want to see is the series staying much closer to the original game and Star Fox 64. Millionbartek
Anyone think that their would be the slightest chance of a new star fox game similar to Adventures? Ohgawhd I loved that game. Still do. I would buy it. They could make a spin off series with Fox going action adventure (Zelda) style. While keeping the original series running. Original series would be something like Assault and spin off would be like Adventures. But since Star Fox is not a priority franchise, I don't think they'll do it. Hidi
I'd agree with you on that: A spin-off adventure series of Star Fox would be nice, but then that would probably worry Nintendo as it would drag off attention from Zelda.
sroberson
...as it would drag off attention from Zelda. As God intended... Up the Star Fox! Honestly though with the amount of work that fans have put into the franchise, there is enough material to write a bajillion spin offs of an on foot adventure game for Star Fox. I can definitely see the lashback of abandoning the rails shooter system, but I am sure they could polish up the design of Assault and allow flight missions to be a viable option in playing through the game. Let the game be a bit like Command which will allow the player to pick how they wish to progress in the game, but have all of the plots converge on a single (ACCEPTABLE!) conclusion. EX: Fox: "What's that? Shit's getting real on Corneria again? What do you think we should do this time, Falco?" Falco: "Palease, blast them out of the skies like we always do" Fox: "Eh...idk... there are many civilians on the ground that need help and the Cornerian defense force is still in active duty" *CHARACTER SELECT!* (Fox on foot) (Falco in all range mode flight) Ok, better dialogue obviously...but you get the point. And as the game moves on, you will have more and more characters to work with or split up with, etc.
CrypticQuery
A new release at all would be nice, though I still firmly agree that while Adventures is a decent game, it isn't a decent Star Fox game.
Ala1n-J
I like Adventures, but releasing a similar product while people are asking for a true Star Fox game is kinf of ill-advised. Actually, this sounds like a good idea to me. Refining the Assault formula, so it's still a Star Fox game without being a Zelda knock-off? Yeah, that's good. HeatherGrace
A new Adventures would be the best thing ever! It's just those damn ©-issues. There was this rumor about Nintendo wiling to make a new Banjo and SFAd, but never heard about that again so it probably just was a rumor.. :(
ZestyLemon
Nintendo owns the rights to all it's IP's, hence why Donkey Kong Country Returns was able to be made despite the first 3 being made by Rare. It's nothing to do with copyrights.
crapcat
No. They just were makign a game called 'dinosaur planet.' and seeming as no one would ever buy a game with the title, they put starfox in it. So yeah. They'll just carry on with zelda probably. Since those two games are so similar. Off topic, But personally, I wouldn't mind seeing another SF adventures game. I wasn't a big fan of adventures, but I did enjoy it for what it was.
DZComposer
I wouldn't be opposed to a new Star Fox adventure game, provided it was built from the ground-up as a Star Fox game and respected the series' roots rather than tacking on a couple of terrible Arwing missions in the later part of the dev process.
