American produce - calling all you 'Mericans!

Howdy y'all.

I'm buying some American produce from various websites including eBay, when I get my student loan installment next week. What I want is:

Coffee

Cereal

Coffee creamers

Hot chocolate of awesome flavours

Toothpaste of awesome flavours

Now, I've been shopping around, and apparently the most "American-tasting" coffee you can get is by... Folgers? Apparently the coffee we have here is nothing compared to it. Thoughts?

Also, I've got my eye on a couple of cereals. Peanut butter Cheerios. Are they good? Actually peanut-buttery? Also, Cinnabon cereal... is it good? Is it better than Cinnamon Cheerios?

For coffee creamers, I'm aiming for Autumn/Festive flavours, so I have pumpkin spice and French vanilla on my list... I also found some pumpkin hot chocolate. Now, I've never tried pumpkin flavoured stuff but I do love the vegetable itself.

And lastly, I found cinnamon Colgate toothpaste... Sounds kind of risky, has anyone tried it?

Oh, and if anyone's wondering why I'm going all American for my shopping, it's just because I'm currently sick of the UK's shit and want a change.

Found this for coffees:

http://www.americancowboycoffee.com/

http://www.usacoffeecompany.com/

http://www.pendragonhawaii.com/

Which only requires this as well:

http://www.levelupstudios.com/starfox-coffee-mug

Can't say I have tried any of them sooo....Im not sure on taste. But how much more "American" can you get if it has the name 'cowboy' in it?

Actually, peanut butter tasting cheerios sounds pretty awesome right now. Problem is I am sure it doesn't quite stand up to just a bunch of peanut butter and chocolate with a glass of milk....Oh man, hungry now...

My excuse for wishing I could do more American made shopping is because - screw outsourcing!

Thanks guys!

If I'm to import, I'll try to do it from a UK store to minimize shipping costs... I've got to save up hard this year in order to move out the country after graduation!

I may be a little late here, but Folgers is awesome coffee. As for creamer, I'd go with Nestle Coffee Mate, they have really good flavors, I know that they have French Vanilla, pumpkin though, they probably have it but I'm not sure. Everyone has pumpkin around September-November.

Now cereal, you've come to the right guy. I like Cheerios, those are my favorites, however I have not had the Peanut Butter Cheerios. I've had Honey Nut, Frosted, Dulce De leche, Apple Cinnamon, and regular. I'd recommend Honey Nut and Frosted Cheerios. As for Cinnabon, I'd say do it, because the one time I've had Cinnabon cereal, not much else has compared. Now for Cinnamon Colgate toothpaste, I have not tried it, however I have tried other flavored toothpastes, and they're... Well, they're not bad, but when I brush my teeth personally I'm not always looking for flavor, so the minty toothpaste is fine for me.

If I may make a recommendation, Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate, They have festive flavors, but they also have some of the creamiest hot cocoa that I've tasted. Some of them have the packets with the little marshmallows in them already, but they melt quickly is all. And they're super easy to make. I don't know if they have Swiss Miss over there or not, but that's my favorite Hot Cocoa mix.

Holy source of US food information Batman. Thanks Kage! I can get a hold of Swiss Miss. What's your opinion on Stephen's cocoa?

Bleh, Folgers is as American as it gets for cheap, shitty coffee, but I'd honestly get something a bit classier. Whole bean coffee, maybe from Trader Joe's or Starbucks or someplace that specializes in coffee. Grind that stuff coarse and put it in a coffee press and you'll have a much better cup of coffee than Folgers.

I dunno if there is an online source for Trader Joe's stuff though, they only sell at retail locations but if you want help getting stuff from then I could tell you about some good things they have in addition to coffee and I could buy and ship it, Trader Joe's is such an awesome part of mein American lifestyle that trying them out might be worth your while.

Cereal wise there's a Churros cereal we discovered, so if you want a taste of something Hispanic-American that might be interesting and VERY delicious. XD I actually prefer hot cereals so I don't have too many cold cereals that I like. Chex however is another very good one for the health conscious as they don't dowse it in sugar. I especially prefer the corn Chex.

I honestly wouldn't suggest brushing with cinnamon flavored anything if your teeth or tastebuds are sensitive, but that's your call. XD Tom's of Maine is a good toothpaste brand you might wanna check out.

Beware: Most American food products are highly processed, mass-produded, and taste like shit. Source: I eat this shit :(

If you can get Juan Valdez coffee, you'll do yourself a great favor. Isn't american, but I think you can get it there. An expresso of that in the morning will put you like an Enegirzer bunny.

Swiss Miss is the safest bet on hot cocoa. It's good. Make it Dark.

Been a long time since I used cinnamon toothpaste. It's twice as spicy as the regular, but it does taste like cinnamon if that's your doubt.

Wow, that's a lovely gesture Fana, thank you kindly! I may look into that. According to some websites, Nescafe and Maxwell House are also popular US brands? We have those over here, maybe I don't need to import it. XDDD

Hmmm Swiss Miss sounds even better. But I must know what Stephen's is like! It has pumpkin coco. PUMPKIN. COCO.

As for cinnamon toothpaste: yes. I love cinnamon. I'd have it on everything if I could. Everything.

Nescafe being the more popular one. As for a creamer, Nestle's Coffee-Mate's a good choice. Nice'n sweet.

It's a matter of taking the risk.

Everything with cinnamon? Even a Challenge? :troll:

Just kidding, But. I guess nothing can top this on exotic dental hygiene product. Only in Asia.

other than trashy kids' cereals like Lucky Charms and whatever, i do rather like Life and Frosted Flakes. but those are pretty generic and i have a hard time believing they aren't sold in the UK.

and due to your perversely intense lust for all things cinnamon you would probably like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. you might even get why kids like it! hint: it's the cinnamon sugar swirls in every bite

Do you think in Canada we're much different?

You were mentioning cinnamon toothpaste: I wouldn't recommend it as I had a rather bad reaction to using it though it could've just been me (And it's pretty strong).

I don't have anything to recommend in terms of coffee since I don't drink coffee, but I'd say check out some Canadian stuff while you're at it! For example, if you like health-food stuff, look up Holy Crap (Apparently it's very good).l

Hmm, we don't have Life cereal but we do have Cinnamon Grahams, which are the same as your other favourite cereal, uno.

For coffee, I'll stick with Nescafe, no point importing what I already have!

Oh Harlow. Are you asking me to do the cinnamon challenge?
