Hidi
The title may sound a little weird, but I'll explain. You know how there's things we like to see/hear/feel? My question is, what are the things that make you feel like everything is you know, good and all? I don't mean completing a level or things like that, I mean like hearing Peppy give you advice or hearing stuff blow up. In Star Fox 64, I like to hear the sound of the Hyper Laser rapid-firing. While rapid firing is not the way to score tons of hits, the sound lets me know I've got the best firepower in the game and to me, it's all good from there. I also like hearing Falco, even if he's asking for help, or I shoot him. Falco is one of my other favourite characters and I find a bit of comic relief and help while playing. My favourite tracks to listen to are Corneria, Aquas, and Zoness from Star Fox 64. They all are calming, but also have their "Climax" parts to them, but they end all calm and quiet again. I like listening to game music when I do work and draw. Being game music, it's background music, and it fits right in. I can't stand listening to bands and stuff because the lyrics distract me. Hidi
Pretty much all the sound effects in the SNES games really. Especially the explosions. Ah yes, 16-bit explosions. I always liked hearing the twin lasers and the music of Space Armada. Not sure why...
Drasiana
The Adventures soundtrack is actually exceptionally chill and nice to listen to. Like if you want a smile on your face just listen to the Thorntail Hollow track.
Scourge
The Thorntail Hallow night music is one of the many "lullabies" i use to get myself to go to sleep at night (I suffer from mild insomnia, and music helps me calm down enough to get to sleep)

psy_commando
Well, I really enjoy watching all the parts of the ending in sf snes, even up to the jingle way after the music stops ! I don't know how to say what it does to me. Its like, it give me hope or ideas for what would come next, and it stimulates my imagination.. Its also like my mind is trying to put images on the music, like what it would look like if they had made a video clip along with the music, other than seeing space. Not sure if that makes sense at all I also, really like re-reading the old 1993 comics for some reasons. It also stimulates my imagination, and give me an odd feeling of nostalgia, but not really nostalgia, more like when you try to remember of something that is gone forever, or that won't happen again. I also really love the sound of the snes arwing's fully upgraded blasters ! plop plop plop And yeah, thorntail hollow is great ! But I kinda prefer hearing this fan arrangement by LulzA and Level 99 : http://dwellingofduels.net/dodarchive/09-09-Rareware_Games/03-LuIzA,%20Level%2099-Star%20Fox%20Adventures-Fossil%27s%20Oasis-DoD.mp3 it got third place when it got entered in the monthly DoD : http://dwellingofdue...es&img=rareware

unoservix
Peppy Hare's wisdom. it's saved my bacon so many times. like on exams! okay so one time i was faced with a question like 42) Given a paper clip, a bottle of shampoo once used by Troy Polamalu, seven small ducks, George Washington, half of Madonna's cone bra, and Stephen Hawking's awesome wheelchair, if Train A is traveling at 180,000 miles per second and Train B is a fighter jet made of biceps and piloted by Juice Springsteen the Beveryman, at what point does life become a meaningless series of farcical tragedies foisted upon us for which we never asked but are nonetheless responsible and yet only the infinite uncaring void awaits us at death? Show all work for full credit. A) Michael Dukakis B) the duodenum C) a cat D) James Joyce's A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man E) all of the below and i'm all uno: oh shit what do i do what do i do oh my god what the fuck is Madonna's cone bra doing in here shit shit shit i thought this was a math test oh god how do i even i don't know what does Michael Dukakis have to do with anything aaaaah Peppy: Try a somersault! uno: ! *marks Q* thanks, Peppy! or like on job interviews Boss: So uno, what makes you think you deserve this job? uno: um well-- Boss: Ha haaaaa, very good, keep in mind of course that you are only one of the literally thousands of people who applied for this position, most of whom are more qualified than you and all of whom are more desperate than you, to the point where they would literally eat dog shit off the bottom of my shoe if I asked them to. uno: uh-- Peppy: Use bombs wisely! uno: ! *explodes* thanks, Peppy! or there's getting out of traffic tickets Cop: Son, do you have any idea how fast you were going? uno: um, 45? Cop: Try 85. uno: but i'm just trying to go back to the past! i have to stop Skrillex from being born so dubstep won't become a thing! Cop: Hate to break it to you, son, but that ain't no DeLorean, it's a Saturn SL1. uno: but-- Cop: With no power locks. uno: but-- Cop: And no power windows. uno: ...well, damn Cop: Yeah, you're lucky that thing can even crack 75, much less 88, and much less the past. RennardFuchs
The music - always, especially the SNES one... it gives a very intense feel of air/space combat... And the blaster sounds + explosions gives it a nice touch...

Hidi
Yeah, I really liked that one too. That track also plays on Jolly Roger Bay. I actually found over the weekend, a way to help me concentrate for game-time (In any competitive sport, it's important); I found listening to a track from an easy-to-memorize track, let's say Corneria from Star Fox 64 (I used this one primarily), and I listened to it. While it played, I tried to match points in the music to events in the level and picture them in my head. For example, there's a point where the music dies down: that's when Peppy tells you to Do a Barrel Roll. Also, just playing through a level-or-two on the way helped, good thing for my 3DS ! (Although I have an entire routine laid out for game-time, and all the stuff that goes on pre-game) I would consider that a comfort, because it helps me center in on what I have to do, and my duties during the game, before, and after. If I'm not focused, I'm very jumpy and I make bad plays; not good, especially if the game counts!
tupelocase
Oddly enough, Slippy's constant cries for help get me super relaxed. I suppose it's because since my childhood Slippy has always needed my ace Arwing skills and always will :

(Ahem....Look no further than one infamous figure....) D'aww :3 Actually everything Adventures. I remember being sick a number of times and playing through this game because I had nothing else to do... It was pure medicine Inb4 YOU MUST'VE BEEN REALLY SICK WANTING TO PLAY THIS PIECE OF CRAP, HUH? I laughed at the last bit. The game was 50/50 to me. Half of it was good, half of it was bad. When I was sidelined by injury earlier this year, I wanted to play games, but couldn't play one for more than five minutes. You're lucky you could sit/lie down and play Adventures!
