Patch93
I know Dras made a topic like this a while back, but I wanted to share my thoughts on this and I didn't want to bump an old thread, so.... yeah. Like Dras said these are mostly just personal speculations you have on the characters, not serious plot theories just "Hey, what if" stuff. Anyway, here's some of mine: * The reason why Fox's eyes keep switching from shades of blue or green (the NP comics are a huge example of this) in various shots is because his eyes are actually cyan. ^^ * Falco is actually a falcon-pheasant hybrid. His mom was a pheasant and his dad was a falcon. (Hence why his head is the shape of a falcon but has the feather colors of a pheasant.) Also, he's a cocky prankster that likes to fuck with the lizards' minds during foot missions. * Likewise, Slippy is a toad-frog hybrid so both terms can be used interchangeably. * Fox and Miyu have a brother and sister-like relationship. (As TV Tropes would describe it best: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LikeBrotherAndSister) They are strong and close allies in combat and have a great friendship that has lasted since their childhoods but aren't actually romantically interested in each other. Although Miyu does tend to get a bit jealous when Fara is around Fox, she shrugs it off pretty quickly. * Fay is the bubbly, cheerful type. She acts as a secondary mechanic to the Star Fox team and is General Pepper's beloved niece. Also, whenever Falco and Slippy get into another one of their crazy arguments, expect Fay to be the first to try and break it up. * During their good ol days, James and Peppy were a badass space pirate busting X-Fighter piloting duo. * Algy and Andrew are brothers. Also, Algy's personality is similar to that of Cutman from the Megaman cartoon. * General Pepper's favorite lollipop flavor is Sour Apple. * The orange lizard who captures Fara and holds her hostage in the first issue of the NP comic is actually the commander of Andross' forces and the boss you fight in Venom Level 3 in SF1 is his flagship.
manthony_Higgs
*James isn't wearing glasses. Those are his eyes* *Beltino draws his mustache on every night to make himself feel better* *In the SNES canon, Miyu and Fay only joined Star Fox because they realized how horrible the CDF really is* *Lizards were a relatively primitive society that Andross strong-armed into his army* *Andrew and Algy are the same person, Algy is just an embarrassing nickname Uncle Andross gave him that stuck*

Vy'drach
Andross liked the Charleston when he had a full body, and no one was around. Andrew, is more into The Twist.
Patch93
* The Game Clear theme that plays in the ending of Star Fox 1 is actually Corneria's global anthem. (Essentially Corneria's Star Spangled Banner.) 0:00-1:37 Plus, the lyrics Peppy, Falco and Slippy sing in the upper corner of this page of the comic are part of the anthem's lyrics at the end of each stanza:
TCPeppyTc
*Pigma smokes old man cigars *Andross loves culture, theatre, opera, etc. *Wolf was the meanest kid in Flight school. *Bill is a really chill guy
Patch93
* Peppy is totally southern. His voice as that drawl to it, and uses terms like "wooooo-wee", "yeeeeehaw", and "dagnab varmit". * Not necessarily a headcanon, but I've had a feeling this could have been Papetoon's theme if it showed up in either of the SNES games. The brass section really fits its desert feel.
TCPeppyTc
* Peppy may be Southern, but is probably Oklahoma/Texas southern, as oppossed to Dixie southern ( Which is what is what the Macbeth Train conducter is.) *Phoenix is an esablishment family like Kennedys/ Rockefellers. *Furri Hendrix is the number one artist on Corneria
ShutUpNavi
*The fighters you encounter in the arwing stages of Adventures are remnants of the Venomnian Fleet trying to help the Sharpclaws kill Fox/revive Andross. *Star Wolf survived the final battle in Assault by flying back through the tunnels and dodging the enemies chasing them. After a few minutes those Aparoids were then destroyed along with the rest of their race after the Queens death. Since they had a head start on Fox getting out of the planet Star Wolf escaped without anyone noticing. *Sauria is the name the Cornarians/other people in the galaxy use for Dinosaur Planet. DP is the native name the locals use for their world. Since Fox spends most of his time with dinosaurs in SFAd he never calls it Sauria to avoid confusing them in that game. *Star Fox Command was all a bad dream Fox had after drinking too much alcohol one night.

Patch93
* Andross was never actually a giant floating disembodied head/brain in Star Fox 64, he was just using the teleknitic amplifer like he did in the SNES canon.

Drasiana
LOOK OUT, I HAVE LOTS (some are repeats from the last topic but fuckit)The Krazoa are closely tied to the ancient civs. mentioned on Titania, Aquas, and possibly Venom, and have different corresponding appearances to said civilization. They appear more Egyptian on Titania, Grecian on Aquas, and something more babylonian/sumerian for Venom.Eladard is Macbeth's moon and is basically Wall Street: The PlanetKatt is a mechanicAndrew can use a sword; it's a status symbol in the Venomian Army, which is why Captain Shears had one too.Bill is both Southern and a surfer dude.Leon is a proficient chef (thanking a friend for that one!)Venom has a high amount of volcanic activity, briar patches, and acid lakes...it's basically the Shadowlands from The Lion King, but in space. The planet Kew mentioned in the ending of Command is not just a planet, but in actuality a massive, secretive supercomputer on the outskirts of LylatHerbert (of SNES comic fame) is Andrew's companion/butler/caretaker to this day. Andrew is also the only one who can understand Herbert's speech (electronic "oinks")James is a reformed ex-con, which is where the Star Fox/Star Wolf rivalry started. The Cornerian Army is made of good-intended secret douchebagsFara's "father" is Pepper's bossFara is a Vixy clone, that was [REDACTED]All of the stages in Star Fox 64 happened. The hard route is the canon ending.Andross might still be alive, though (provided a retcon of Adventures-onward)Cool's first name is Tom because Cool is a stupid name, fuck thatKatt and Falco aren't actually attracted to each other, Katt just flirts with Falco because it annoys him. They're just good friends.Miyu and Fay are the biggest lesbians that ever lesbianed, thoughAmanda is a crazy environmental activist for Aquas and ZonessFaisul and Uno's Krystal retcons will always be my favourite headcanons for her /yay ambiguityAndross' weird Eastern European-sounding accent in Adventures is my headcanon Andross 5ever I have a bunch more that I'll post later. Patch93
* Due to it's close distance to the Lylat system's twin suns, Macbeth is the hottest planet in the Lylat system. It has had a long history of devastating earthquakes (or, planetquakes in this case lol) and volcanic eruptions which have contributed to the interior becoming hollow. Because of this, there have been also many incidents in the past in which Cornerian miners were killed in these geological disasters. It also has several bodies of magma on the planet's surface. * Eladard is a monarchy that has a close alliance with Corneria. It's climate is very similar to England as it's very rainy most of the time and it's only warm during the summer. It's also mostly populated by felines, such as lynxes, lions, tigers, etc. * Miyu was born to Eladardian parents who had immigrated to Corneria. The arrow fur pattern on her forehead is a symbol of her heritage that all Eladardians and all Lylatians of Eladardian descent have. * Before he became director of the Cornerian Planetary Security Council, General Pepper was the lead singer of the Sgt. Pepper's Happy Heart band. * General Pepper's first name is John. (Reference to John Lennon, lead singer of the Beatles.) * Corneria is a militaristic democracy. They are not a dictatorship, they just happen to have the military and planetary government combined into one. * Corneria is the Lylatian equivalent to the United States. They are the leaders of the Lylat system, tell other planets what to do, and promote the ideals of freedom of expression, freedom of species (basically their version of civil rights) democracy, liberty, freedom, and the pursuit of happiness. Ori
* In Assault, Falco's personality was inspired in Alvin H. "Chopper" Davenport. (Check quotes: "Oh yeah, just weave through the missiles. What are you, nuts!?", "Hey, our cover's blown anyway, I'm gonna start talking now!" and " 'Til the very end, you idiot! We've got to protect these people!". Even Falco's voice started sounding a bit like his.) * Cerinia was destroyed by a supernova caused by a experimental of Andross, that triggers critical mass on the star itself. * During the events of 64/"Andross War", information databases were hacked or destroyed during invasions. There was little data on Cerinia, that was in another star system, but close enough to be noticed of intelligent[?] life. Busy with the war, the Cornerian fleet couldn't help a possible evacuation of the planet. * Krystal isn't the last Cerinian, because, come on, she's NOT a Time Lord to be able to feel the auras or presence or whatever-s of her species through space and time. * The year SF events actually pass on is circa-2130, not a thousand hundreds millenia away or 'a long time ago'. It happens, though, that they developed technologies far more faster and advanced than other civilizations. * SF actually doesn't take place 'in a galaxy far far away'. The stars on the celestial backgrounds are actually our galaxy's real-life constellations, reversed and jumbled. * At the very early years of the Cornerian armada, it was more a federation. The desperate militaristic situations demanded a militarized government. * Corneria's current military's effectiveness and general safety of the system is questioned among Lylat due to recurring failed attempts at defending their own space. (WARNING, FANFIC IDEA INCOMING)
Patch93
* Pigma and Algy/Andrew are the Bulk and Skull of the Star Fox universe. * Shears was once the director of the Cornerian council and was the one who banished Andross from the Lylat system. He also banished Fox, Falco, Peppy and Slippy to Papetoon when they protested him for refusing to retaliate against the uprising Venomian threat. When Shears lost the directoral election to Pepper, he personally vowed to get his revenge. * Fox's full name is James "Fox" McCloud, Jr. He made up the nickname "Fox", because he hated being called Junior. * Falco's favorite food is a Peanut Butter and Birdseed sandwich. * Slippy, being an amphibian, absolutely loves flies, and will eat just about anything that involves them. (Which would also explain why he's a bit chubby too.)
Ori
* The Arwing's G-diffuser system, and pretty much all the other systems in it, are all powered by Zero-Point Energy, allegedly infinite, thus a reason why they can defy the very laws of aerodynamics and gravity by 'softening' the effects of gravitational forces on the pilot and airframe. (And let's face it: If we were advanced enough to build a Arwing that lacked such a power source, it would be the best definition of a "Flying Brick" second only to good ol' Space Shuttle.) Without that system, the Arwings would need to be launched with rocket boosters/external tanks. * The Cornerian Fighters use a limited supply of hydrogen cells instead of ZPE, since the Arwings are actually a very experimental prototype. These fighters also have difficulty when it comes to fast atmospheric reentry (due to lack of a advanced G-diffusion system) and need to de-accelerate drastically before reentering. Instead of performing VTOLs and other procedures alone, they use a Mass driver system to launch and land horizontally. * All of the fighter craft manufactured for the Cornerian armada are able to fly with one or no wings, given their extremely high durability. (Think of them as Lylat's F-15s or Su-37s. [see 1983 Israeli Flight Incident])

Robert Monroe
Aw fuuuuuuck, I had a lot of these back in the day. Lemme see what I can dust off the top of my head... (I used to have entire files of fanon shit I used for my fanfic crap before realizing HEY THIS ENERGY IS BETTER SPENT FOCUSED ON ORIGINAL WORKS). -Lylat SystemMost of the planets are autonomous governments. I disliked the image of Corneria ruling over all of Lylat that's prevalent in a lot of fics.On that note, most of the planets are chill with Corneria and often work together on stuff.Corneria's government was some sort of military-dictatorship. Benevolent to be sure, but still. Katina was a colony world of Corneria's and was not autonomous. Its two claims to fame are scientific development and agriculture.Zoness is governed by an aristocracy who operate various resort and vacation spots on the islands.Aquas was a constitutional monarchy with artificial island cities populated by British sounding guys in shakos.Eladard was every cyberpunk setting ever, but mostly drew from Blade Runner. It was armed by these colonial marine expies, and the main economy of Eladard outside of commerce markets was mining its rings for ores.Titiania is populated by cowboys and steampunk in the flavor of shit like Trigun, and divided into three semi-autonomous organizations that form a confederacy. The ancient ruins are concentrated in a fourth, uncharted and dangerous quadrant.Fortuna is a wildlife preserve that has no native populations. The bases in Assault are reconfigured logging camps.Fichina is populated sparsley by various unorganized nomadic peoples who keep to their own business and waged guerilla wars against the Venom armies. The weather control centers in Assault? Only needed for Cornerian sissies to survive because they can't hang in the snow like bosses.Solar is in fact the sun of Lylat and is actually named "Lylat", solar is just a nickname. It isn't a red dwarf, the artist for SF64 was just a dumbass.MacBeth is an industrial world. It's the Rust belt, but a planet! The core is hollow naturally and the world has various volcanic hotspots (drawing inspiration from SF, SF2, and SF64). The reason it was a major Venomian base is because MacBeth was not invaded by Andross, it allied with him against Corneria. After the war, MacBeth lost autonomity to Corneria and was a hotspot for civil war for years.Venom underwent a major social reform after Andross was defeated. The highest ranking military survivors became mercenary commanders and Venom became a world of mercenaries to support themselves. The "Venom" fleet in Assault are actually Andross loyalists rallying under Andrew's heritage.Papetoon is a lawless fringe world that attracts all sorts of smugglers and mercenaries. It has no central government, just various counties ran by sheriffs. -Star FoxFox McCloud IS partly Scottish, and has the accent to prove it.Fox isn't the "balanced hero" like Assault says. He's the agile martial artist like Smash Brothers implies.Fox's vices are greed and wrath. Like in Adventures, he's money-hungry, but not as petty as the game implies. His sense of justice is greater than his mercenary bravado.Fox idolizes James and doesn't really recognize him as a person.Fox went to Papetoon to become a merc after dropping out of the Cornerian forces after heated spats with the big wigs. He took Falco and Slippy with him, and Peppy went with out of concern.Fox and Lucy are surrogate siblings, Peppy having raised Fox after James's death like his own son.Falco is an orphan with no traceable family, and he's just fine with that. Raised in the streets.Falco joined the Cornerian forces with Fox, but only because Fox convinced him. Was more than happy to bail out for Papetoon.Katt is from a rival gang of Falco's, and they two had this West Side Story kind of on and off romance going on. Falco can't decide if he loves Katt sincerely or they're just fuckbuddies.Falco is black as hell, yo. Wears bandanas around his head because that's fucking cool.Falco is the balanced fighter of the team. He focuses on heavy hits and exceptional jumping ability, though he's none too fast on his feet.Falco is also the best shot with a handgun.Slippy was Fox's high school buddy who went with him to college and beyond. Beltino was a family friend of James, much like Peppy and Pigma.Slippy's technical flying ability is superb, but he often fucks up by trying to show off, eg fighting too many foes at once, or doing some tricky move he saw in a movie.Slippy is a total nerd who knows every line from Die Hard by heart. This nerdiness contributes to his stupid choice making.Slippy has ADHD, and HOW.Slippy is built like a brick shithouse. His overweight statue makes him akin to a wrestler, and he will grapple the hell out of you. Nerd rage much?Slippy acts out to make himself seem cool enough for the mercenary image. Deep down inside, he's a pretty sensitive guy. He really only did this for Fox.Peppy became Fox's surrogate father after the loss of James.Peppy is a goddamn cowboy whose family owned ranches on Katina. Wealthy background.Peppy and Pigma were childhood friends from the same neighborhood, though Pigma was the rural poor kid and Peppy was the wealthy rancher.Peppy is a war veteran from other smaller conflicts before the Lylat War. He sees everything from the eyes of a methodical soldier.Peppy mentors Fox not to teach him how to fly, but to keep his temper in check. He's not teaching him technical things, but trying to look out for his well being. -Star WolfWolf's rivalry stems petty jealousy. He thinks Fox is a glory hog who rides on his father's fame. Wolf is older, virtually unknown, and had to earn everything he has. Fox was given the golden platter.Despite his gruff exterior and petty hatred, Wolf is not a bad leader. He looks at his gang members like a father would. He is truly an alpha wolf leading the pack, aloof but not hateful, even to the likes of Pigma or Andrew.Wolf views his Sargasso pirates as not just criminals but vigilantes and desperados. They deal their own brand of justice to that which they feel is corrupt, usually violently.Wolf is really not a good friend with Leon. He hardly knows the guy. However, he is something of a mentor to Andrew, who wishes to lead Venom to glory like his uncle once did.Leon is a sophisticate without passion. Nothing arouses him in any sense of the word: he is utterly bored with life and therefore has a lot of hobbies to pass the time.Leon prefers Classical music for its technical construction. Romantic is too emotional and wayward, Baroque is too simplistic and charming.Leon does everything with 200% effort, and despises anyone interfereing, even something as simple as cooking. He makes great expenses for the finest supplies for whatever he does.Leon constantly remodels his quarters on the Sargasso station to keep himself preoccupied.Leon's bounty is the smallest because he's so good at what he does, its almost impossible to CONVICT him of anything. Evidence is scarce, making him almost something of a myth.Pigma adores Star Wolf as his family, but never shows it. Behind that greedy, selfish exterior is a very weak, wounded soul.Pigma betrayed James out of misaimed spite. He always considered Peppy is friend, which is why he let Peppy escape the betrayal. However, James was always picking and mocking Pigma, albeit in a playful manner, but the humor was lost on Pigma and he took it at face value, leading him to secretly loathe James.Pigma is obsessed with greed because he never had anything growing up. A reason he loved Peppy as a friend? Peppy didn't judge him for being poor, despite being wealthy.Pigma favors a small time blue-dish space diner near Sargasso space. His ritual for every entrance is to rip off his wanted posters and toss them in the trash.Pigma is a mechanic and loves working on space vessels for fun. He loves any sort of physical, blue collar labor period.Andrew was a teenager during the Lylat War, and only flew with Star Wolf because Andross said so.Andrew is actually a clone of Andross, the first successful one to survive. However, as Andross raised him from infancy, he did not come out as a perfect copy, instead being this... blithe, childish spirit. Andross raised Andrew like a son to fill the familial void in his life, but addressed him as "nephew" to maintain some distance to stay aloof.Andrew was raised by Herbert many a night Andross was too busy plotting galactic domination.Andrew fully accepts Andross's cause for war as a just one for his uncle's exile. When he inherits the throne, he's not out for power, but for justice. The small warships in Sargasso in Assault? Gifts from Andrew after he reclaimed his uncle's title and took command of the loyalist forces.Andrew admires Wolf greatly for his leadership skills, Leon for his technical ability, and Pigma for his "cool factor". Panther is Andrew's only true friend, though.Andrew dresses in fancy uniforms and scarfs in an attempt to look more heroic on the day he becomes the next emperor.Herbert is Andrew's wingman even to this day.Panther is from a wealthy family of thrill-seekers who fell into debt. He ran away to become his own man after becoming adept at theivery and highway banditry.Panther sees himself as a romantic and is mostly a criminal for the romantic aspect of it. He doesn't seek to actually hurt anyone, just enjoy the thrills.Panther is around Andrew's age, and the two bond well as friends for it. Panther has tried to teach Andrew to pick up chicks... it doesn't work.Panther learned to fly from aerial shows and stunt rallies. His first big debut? Stealing a prized stunt flyer from a Cornerian air show.Panther is very fashionable and dresses his best for any occasion. He also has a refined taste in food and drink.Panther is in love with love itself, and has trouble committing to relationships because of it. He loves all women equally, but once settling down happens, the thrill vanishes. He's aware of his fickleness, but is unsure what to do about it. OK THATS ENOUGH FOR NOW WILL DO MORE LATER
