Star Fox Headcanons

* Despite the existence of the warpgate systems in the SF universe, the stars where probes were sent into proved to host unwelcoming environments and few resources, reason why there isn't much information on colonies on other star systems, or existing colonies, for that matter.

* The above leads into: the SF Galaxy is young, containing brighter, hotter stars, thus having less habitable planets.

* Cerinia was an exception of such unwelcoming shores, and was able to host life... That is, until it died in a ball of flame.

* Krystal didn't use a spacecraft or any vehicle to be transported from Cerinia to Sauria. Both planets actually contained one unique warp pad on each end of the 'connection' built by the Krazoa.

* The above directly leads into the fact guess that the Krazoa also existed in Cerinia.

* The Krazoa are actually the oldest civilization of the SF Galaxy. Think of them as The Endless of the SF lore: they terraform planets until they are habitable, seed life into them, and eventually end uplifting races to civilized status.

* Not moved by any 'magic' or anything, the Krazoa are actually a very advanced, very scientific race. They dominated things from black hole mining to mind uploading, and telekinesis/telephatics. (Reason why they also appear as 'ghosts' or spirits to most beings) They are considered 'magic entities', 'gods' or things of the such by more primitive races. The Cornerian Federation accepts this view because actually, they are puzzled as the primitives on the matter of who or what the Krazoa are.

- Starfox was James' nickname. When Fox and his team came from Papetoon to Corneria, Peppy suggested to use "Starfox" as the team's name.

- Falco is neither a falcon, nor a pheasant. He is from the black breasted buzzard species, though he won't tell anyone his bright colors' origins.

- Leon is not a chameleon, but an actual Venomian lizard. He took his "official" Lylatian name from a movie character.

- Fay is, indeed, Gen. Pepper's niece, but she didn't tell the Starfox team about it. She's also reporting Starfox's whereabouts to the Cornerian High Command, since Pepper still wants to keep a track of Fox. And Fay is an english springer spaniel.

- When the team was joined by Krystal, Miyu and Fay, Fox organized the pilots like this : Fox, Falco, Miyu and Krystal pilot the Arwings; Slippy gets a heavy fighter/bomber prototype and Fay gets a scout/interception fighter. Peppy stays on the Great Fox with ROB64, providing heavy fire and logistic support.

I have a few more, but I'll develop them later.

BUMPERONI

* The images of General Pepper on the buildings in SF64's Corneria are not portraits of him in a dictatorship-like fashion like everyone claims, but rather large monitors of a live global broadcast of him delievering an emotional speech to the people of Corneria, vowing that they will never surrender to the Androssian Empire and giving them hope in their darkest hour. (Similar to Churchill's speech to the British people during the Nazi invasion of England in WWII.)

What reason did Andross have to destroy that building that caused so many Cornerian deaths? I mean, did he really mean to? Was it part of the plan? Was there even a plan at all? What if Andross was really a victim and the CDF quickly pointed the finger at a scapegoat and Andross being slighted for their rushed justice seeks revenge?

   What if...?

* (Due to the apparent lack of presence of moon or natural satellite of any kind in Corneria) Corneria has mostly calm oceans, allowing construction of both floating and underwater cities.

Whaaa? No moon?!

What about sky cities like the Cloud City in Empire Strikes Back? First you'll have to find a way through science how to levitate a mass like a city. Anti-gravity well? Or maybe elevated platform cities.

Lol, Bioshock :P

Indeed. I'll post a headcanon to get it going again.

* The weather control unit on Titania in SF1 was actually a prototype that was being developed for Fichina.

* The Papetoonian racoon villager who shows up in the third chapter of the Itoh comic is totally the same racoon from SF64's training mode. :V

Are you talking about this? From the Orbital Gate level.

That thing is pretty big, unless it's meant to be another planet...

planets never come that close to eachother. if they would, you'd feel a change in gravitational pull on either planet, and they'd keep pulling towards eachother in their orbits until they collided. Something that close is a moon.

and there was some giant ass moon hanging in the sky of the Corneria City level

i have a few headcanons... some of them are... less-than-family-friendly... but mostly, the ones below:

Wolf: arrested for cage-fighting and leading a gang at age 14, kicked out of Cornerian Flight Academy.  Lost his eye in a gang fight.  Hired by Andross to defend Venom.  Briefly guarded James McCloud upon his capture.  secretly had james as his hero growing up, and was somewhat jealous of fox for having a living legend as a father.  after his alcoholic father beat him for the last time, James took him in for a couple years as an adopted son.  Wolf felt horrible when he found out pigma murdered him.  later is forgiven by Star Fox and joins the team.  Real name: Wolfarus Artemis O'Donnell.
Pigma Dengar:  Loyal only to money, he betrayed James McCloud and Peppy.  Upon Andross' orders, Pigma dragged James from his prison cell, and threw him into a Black Hole.  Later booted out of Star Wolf with Andrew Oikonny for insubordination to Wolf.
Leon: in a gang with wolf, followed him to Andross
Falco: formerly in a biker gang (or gang-banger, depending on how mature my readers would want the story or roleplaying session to get) during his teen years, met up with Fox and joined the academy with him to "fly straight".  briefly worked with Andross before taking Fox up on his offer to join Star Fox.  Has a grudge against Leon, from being in opposing gangs in Corneria City.  Like Wolf, he was basically a member of the extended family, constantly hanging out with Fox during their childhood and early teen years.
Fox: Son of James McCloud, joined academy at age 14, dropped out at age 16 upon hearing of his father's murder.  attempted suicide by cutting his wrists and throat, only to be found by his best friend from the academy, Bill Grey.  Later formed Star Fox with Falco, Slippy, and Peppy.  Real name: James McCloud, Jr.
Bill Grey: Good friend of Fox, knew each other from the academy, now a Captain in the Cornerian Military

I keep on thinking that the events of Mortal Kombat 9 took place between the events of SFAs and SFC, and Shao Kahn's invasion of Earthrealm was felt all the way in the Lylat System, resulting in General Pepper hiring the Star Fox team to help stop Shao Kahn. I thought about this alot, enough to come up with X-Ray attacks for Fox, Falco, Slippy, and Krystal. I'm not sure if this would be considered a headcanon, but im pretty sure it does and i'm more than happy to tell more about it if you all are interested.
