I ordered it with one day shipping, so I imagine it will come in late tomorrow night. I'll probably have my first impressions up the day after.

Also I just noticed the attach files button

Well my DS is currently misplaced, so I'll have to track that down before anything else.

I feel so sorry for you. So... So sorry. If you return the game, do you get the money you paid for shipping back?

I won't say you shouldn't have ordered it, because somebody had to take it off that poor seller's hands. But I will say, when you're done with your errhm... "first impressions", dump it. :-P

Ah, I'm kidding. I have it and, completely unbiased on the story/Star Fox title, absolutely think it is one of the worst games ever made. But I still keep it with the rest of my SF collection because, well, I want to have all the games.

Once it arrives I advise you to return it. If that is not possible, grab some gasoline and matches.

It is quite bad though; the worst Star Fox game by far, and a sub-decent DS game at best.

Bad idea! Bad bad idea! That. Game. Is. Horrible. I almost lost all respect for Nintendo for letting that game be released.

Hmm I wonder, did anyone check the manual for the Nintendo Seal of Quality? :P

I still have a copy of Command in my closet that I bought years ago but didn't even bother to play...I could have shipped you it. :3

It's entertaining, in all honesty. Fans just hate it because of all the... game. But if you keep in mind that it's completely non-canon and just for fun, you'll be fine.

/first post that isn't full of haaaaate

I think R3d is broken.

No seriously friend, don't let the hate here ruin the experience you just paid good money for. Play it, enjoy it if you like it, it's all your preferences and choices. :)

No, yeah, this is pretty much how Castlevania fans treat Lords of Shadow, and that game is faaaaaaaaaantastic. I love diving into games with mixed receptions.

Hurry up and play it User! NOW!

I had mixed feelings about that game too. For a DS game, playing it is like "Oh wow, a DS game with good textures!" but after completing it, it doesn't leave the best taste in one's mouth.

Enjoy the "Cheese"!

(Oh, there are some cheesy things I know you'll love about that game!)

Command wasn't all that bad of a game. In fact, it was the game that got me interested in the StarFox series. If it didn't have to live in 64 and Assault's shadow, it would be a pretty standout game. People bash it for being overdramatic, but really it's only that as compared to the other games. Command holds it's own in my eyes.

Honestly, I would not call SF Command the worst game ever made, there are many fine examples of games far worse: http://www.cracked.com/article_18581_the-20-worst-nes-games-all-time.html

Command simply suffers from craptacular story telling but the mechanics are okay if you ignore the plot. :P

My hate for Command has absolutely nothing to do with it being a Star Fox game or with the story or the 9 endings or anything.

The controls are awful, the concept is the most repetitive and boring thing ever.

Did I mention the controls are absolutely awful? As in, terribly terrible? Broken? I-don't-know-how-this-passed-playtesting kind of broken?

The concept? A kid said "Hey lolz let's combine turn-based boring strategy and all-range mode and call it a game!!" "Oh and also make you have to destroy all the enemies in each awesome level that is boring and bland" and on and on....

Meh, people can like it, but I have no idea how that could be possible with the absolutely terrible gameplay/controls/story.

So it sound like most of the hate comes from the "terrible story"? ...Do you guys really play SF games for the story? because there are waaaaaaaay better game-stories out there.

Yeah, but very few with anthropomorphic animal pilots in space and rail shooting. It's not whether it's the best story ever told, it's simply the elements it has that don't appear elsewhere that appealed to me personally.

Well there is some expectation you're going to have a story to follow. Trouble is, Star Fox could go a lot deeper plot-wise, but this being Nintendo, don't expect much. Also, you don't have to add tags to your topics.
