Tis the Season for Spooky Game Musics

Since Halloween is coming up, I've been killing time making a playlist for the occasion. While I could just just go with any kind of spooky music, I decided to narrow it down to something more specific; so I chose videogame music.

So far I have cherry picked a few things:

Aria of Nightmare from Castlevania: Lament of Innocence

Gravemind from Halo 3

Lisa Trevor's Theme from Resident Evil: REmake

Shadow Temple from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Dark Agon Wastes from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

G.F.S. Valhalla from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

Abyss of Fear from Batman: Arkham Asylum

Shinra Corporation from Final Fantasy VII

Skull's Theme from F-Zero GX

and Maridia - Rocky Underground Water Area from a Metroid OC Remix

I'd love some suggestions on building the playlist, but keep one thing in mind: I've been making a point of picking only ONE, MAYBE TWO songs from a single game. This is a cherry-pick list, if I wanted to go the easy route I would just fill it up with Silent Hill musics.

I can't access youtube on this junker, but I'd say "Dreams of Cuelty" from Team Fortress 2. I like to think of it as proof that Valve could scare us shitless if they really wanted to, although I suppose that one isn't so much "spooky" as it is "horror." How about the American Sonic CD boss theme?

Obligatory American McGee's Alice soundtrack. Any of them, you can't go wrong.

Also, this:

Oh yeah, and this. Though it's mostly from association with this boss. Also, the guy in the video is using cheats. This boss is hella intense when played normally.

Ho-ly craaaaap. That's like, a really really creepy rendition of a song I grew up with. And I can't stop listening to it!

Also sorry, brace yourself, after Elite posted the Lavender town theme I had to.

Never actually PLAYED the game, but I heard this track from Alundra ages ago and instantly thought of it when I saw this topic. It's quite appropriately titled "Nightmare":

Then there's "Robe Under Cover of Darkness" from Star Ocean: Till the End of Time.

"Ceremony" from Secret of Mana:

"Light World Dungeon" from Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past:

I'll post more later if / when I think of 'em.

Edit: How could I forget the Hyrule Castle themes from Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess? Beautiful yet creeeeeepy.

I've always found this music to be quite omnious for some reason.

Not necessarily spooky, though certainly ominous;

And this one is definitely creepy, it gets better the farther you listen;

I gave up playing Sonic Adventure 2 as a kid because I could never get past Pumpkin Hill. Thanks for the, albeit depressing, memories. :lol:
