TCPeppyTc
Check this out Furries, you'll probaby love it. It also is kind of a fun show for anyone really. I liked it.
Fana McCloud
Oh gawd I remember that show. XD Never got too much into it, but I remember it. I was too hypnotized by Disney Afternoon at that point in my life to care about much else (well except Animaniacs and Hysteria, that schiznit was awesome). Patch93
Watched a few episodes. Eeh... Not a fan. Swat Katz was way better.
CrypticQuery
(well except Animaniacs and Hysteria, that schiznit was awesome). You've won the internets for mentioning Animaniacs. That is all. ----- Road Rovers was always an awesome show; one of the more interesting concepts to come out of the era.
Redeemer
Kids. It's a great show for kids. I watched it - when I was a kid. I honestly don't believe the show was aired with the target audience being an older, furry community. But yes I did love this show, but I barely remember much of it. I was quite young.
The Shaper
Kids show through and through, and not in that MLP:FiM "Geared toward a variety of audiences" way. Not saying it's bad, but the only real entertainment value you are going to get out of it is most likely nostalgia.
TCPeppyTc
I kinda like it cause Bill Clinton was a regular character :-)
Fana McCloud
I kinda like it cause Bill Clinton was a regular character Yeah, they did seem to love having him on a lot of those Warner Brothers cartoons didn't they? XD I remember him being on Animaniacs too (hell he was in the freakin intro), might've been on Histeria too.
Patch93
I kinda like it cause Bill Clinton was a regular character Okay, seeing that was fucking awesome. I will admit that. (And yes, Clinton is my favorite modern U.S. president. ^^)

TCPeppyTc
Your right. I see people complaining about how WB cancelled Road Rovers in favor of Captain Planet, etc, what a shame it was. But I think Road Rovers might just have been a mediocre show. I mean its funny and entertaining, but it is really silly too. I can't believe how they just made Blitz a big sissy, when he could potentially pack a real punch! I also wonder if Road Rovers could be aired today, seeing how politically incorect it is in some ways. Such as Blitz's harassment of Colleen being "funny" and having a dog in a straight jacket as a character. Idk I still kind of like it
DoctorAllosaurus
I remember not being a fan of this show at all when it aired on cartoon network all those years ago.
Patch93
I just dislike Blitz because he's a racist German stereotype. He's like Antoine from Sonic SatAM, except not funny at all and incredibly annoying and stupid.
DZComposer
Let's be honest, how many kids shows from that time WEREN'T full of racial stereotypes? Even the old Looney Tunes were full of it. In fact there are 11 such cartoons they can't even air anymore, some of them featuring a black guy chasing Bugs instead of Elmer Fudd that went through every stereotype in the book. Appearently even modern Looney Tunes is still doing it. I saw a clip from one where Lola Bunny walks up to Speedy Gonzales and asks him "How do you say 'Taco' in Spanish?" ಠ_ಠLink to comment Share on other sites
Simon
Yeah, Road Rovers was bad. The writing was boring, the characters were 1-dimensional (and stereotypes of their countries), the animation was mediocre, etc. The only reason why there are any fans of it is because the main characters are anthros in skin tight suits. The show wobbles between being mildly chuckle-worthy to action-oriented to trying to be interesting to just plain crap. It's almost like it's making fun of the slew of good-to-mediocre TV shows and video games from the early-mid '90s that had an anthro cast (Sonic the Hedgehog, Bubsy, SWAT Kats, Thundercats, Bonkers, Star Fox, Darkwing Duck, Animaniacs, etc.), except it falls flat and winds up joining the ranks of the aforementioned games and cartoons. But still, I find it kinda funny and I find it kinda sad that the dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've---gah screw it y'all wouldn't even get the joke that you've only just discovered Road Rovers, and you're a furry fan :P
Deploy
I personally think it doesn't get much more badass than Swat Katz for anthro action. Though I saw Animaniacs being mentioned in here, and that's my favorite cartoon ever. :D

Though I saw Animaniacs being mentioned in here, and that's my favorite cartoon ever. I loved those shows too (hence the term mediocre to good-Mediocre meaning stuff like Bubsy, good meaning stuff like SWAT Kats, Animaniacs, etc.). Hell, I still have pretty much every episode of SWAT Kats (including that weird news report episode) taped on VHS from 5-6 years ago when Boomerang started playing them. Since the quality on them is fairly amazing (short play mode with stereo audio on good to pro grade tapes), plus a battalion of video filters to improve the quality even more, I oughta rip them and put them online since I haven't seen any rips from the official Warner Archive DVD set that's available every once in a blue moon (although I've seen plenty of bootleg DVD rips ). And yeah, Animaniacs did kick ass :D

Simon
Well, yeah there's a lack of it, since the only person who bothered ripping their (awfully worn out) VHS recordings, and they did it in the worst way possible (straight to tiny AVI with no filtering at all). Given the chance, I would definitely give ripping this show a shot if I came across a tape with a few episodes on it, since I have the equipment and software to properly convert videotapes to digital video (a couple of VCR's, Timebase Corrector, equalizer, DVD recorder, capture card, virtualdub with restoration filters, Adobe Audition, Handbrake, etc. etc.) and make them look better than the source tapes. Heck, I could even do it with a bootleg DVD provided it's still in .VOB or .MPEG. I don't exactly like the show, but I hate for the only available episodes to be in piss-poor quality.
