DZComposer
For games that do not have built-in voice functions, I have setup a mumble server. You can grab the client here: http://mumble.sourceforge.net/Main_Page Server: 74.201.57.200 Password: starfox64 Make sure to complete the certificate wizard! You will need to in order to register your name, which I highly recommend you do. To join a channel, simply double-click it! Channels: In-Game Chat (All Talk) <- This is the All Talk channel. To speak to alltalk, you will need to map your whisper key to the channel and link the channel (righ-click, select link). Team 1 <- Chanel for Team 1, whatever the game designates as Team 1 Team 2 <- Chanel for Team 1, whatever the game designates as Team 2 Team 3 <- Chanel for Team 1, whatever the game designates as Team 3 Team 4 <- Chanel for Team 1, whatever the game designates as Team 4 General Chat <- General chatroom for non-game chats. This video shows how to map your whisper key. It was made for another server, so remember to replace their alltalk channel with ours. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkwl09850Hk It may be worth having a practice session with mumble so I can be sure I configured it right. The documentation doesn't define what some features actually do, but just gives use cases for some of them. That's dumb...
Icy
Maybe a pre-game check tomorrow before the BF1942 game would be good. I'll be there, hopefully with my mic since it will be here tomorrow. (Edit: What am I thinking, 12PM, nope...) I've only heard good things about Mumble, so I imagine it will work fine.
Fana McCloud
Maybe I just don't understand how Mumble works, but it keeps saying I have an invalid password when I try to connect to the server. : /
