Redeemer
Hey guys, this is quite a random topic but I'm wanting everyone's opinions on this. I'd like to see that I'm not the only one with this train of thought. XD Have you ever noticed one thing about yourself that seems to bug everyone else around you? Like, if you have bad habits - maybe you bite your fingernails, maybe you shed hair and leave it everywhere, maybe you use a common phrase too much. But something that people have picked up on and kind of brought to your attention, if that makes sense. For me, it's my voice. It's annoying as hell. Maybe not to Americans, because I seem to do fine in calls with them, but over here I kind of get spoken over. I've been told it's because I'm hard to listen to. When I was little, I had quite a squeaky voice, and most kids just used to tell me to shut up. A girl in my class said "it annoys me when you talk", so I was aware of my problem even back then. Most women over here actually have deeper voices, so the sound of mine isn't something they're used to. But as I've gotten older, my voice has become a cross between squeaky, nasal, and husky, which seems to grate on others. Almost every day someone will interrupt me because when I talk to much, it must just be hard to listen to. At work, customers just nod and walk away, then ask someone else about everything I just told them. Because they couldn't stand to listen to me. This seems to happen most when I'm reading from lists, or from scripts or recipes or whatever. People listen to me more when I give one-word answers or short sentences. I can be telling people a story, or simply what I did at the weekend, and they instantly zone out or cut me off with something else. I did think that it was possible that I'm boring, which could be fair enough, but when people ask me "what did you do at the weekend?", "what did you do in Germany?" or "what do you think about (random topic)?" I kind of hope they'll expect me to answer them. To counter act this, I've provided myself with a very expressive face, and I use hand gestures a lot. I can say a lot in one look, this is why people always say they can read me like a book. I'm so reluctant to talk when I don't want to bug people, I fire expressions at them instead. XD Am I the only one who has something like this? XD
Milkyway64
The one thing I do that annoys myself more than anyone else, is I bite my fingernail, and I bite them down to the skin. Then I bite some more until it hurts and/or I am bleeding. Feh.
Snys93
My bad grammar. Being from California, I constantly find myself saying, "I had not seen" and "like" over and over. Lately I've found my dad does the same thing and he was the one who tried to pound proper speech educate into my head. Another is when I take the same route to work everyday, to bypass the in town "stupid" traffic where we have five intersections 30 feet from each other. Its longer and littered with fast food joints where I somethings go for a quick lunch break. If I go the other way, I'll get stuck in traffic and freeway construction for half an hour. Either way, I'll get annoyed and fat from lazy food.
Dr. Orange
I crack my knuckles, fingers, hands, feet, neck, spine and any other body part that I haven't named. Please, call me the human slinky if you want. Personally I don't mind that I do it and usually people don't mind either unless I crack all my fingers, hands etc. at the same time. I also have apparently of being loud.

LoneWolf
The one thing I do that annoys myself more than anyone else, is I bite my fingernail, and I bite them down to the skin. Then I bite some more until it hurts and/or I am bleeding. Feh. Used to do the same, acutally. And it sucks. Nowadays I notice I tend to get focused on stuff. Runs in the family, but something cool happens and I will talk about it at length to everyone, and some people twice. It's kind of weird and as soon as I noticed it, I kind of stopped doing so, or at least, am doing my best to.
CrypticQuery
I definitely suffer from severe procrastination issues concerning assignments or other things of the sort. Regardless of what I attempt to do, it appears as if I always end up putting it off. It is getting better, mind you, though it certainly can be improved. Then I bite some more until it hurts and/or I am bleeding. Feh. This. I need to seriously stop it, too. It's actually hampered me during a trip to the shooting range. As for something that annoys, everyone really, is I have a tendency to correct people over anything if they're wrong. Not for any reason like to make myself seem smurt or anything, just for their information and I tend to do it before I notice I do it.
The Shaper
Apparently I talk too loud. Honestly in this household I'd assume I am the least noisy out of anyone given that I am the one who rarely partakes in conversation and listens to all sounds from my laptop through headphones which are usually on a very low volume setting, but I guess whenever I do speak, it can be heard from Spain. Harlow
I'm borderline neurotic when it comes to class projects. Huge contrast to the great "don't-give-a-shit" kind that I think fills 90% of the University. Never really had issues with it until last year when a work group reveled against me. We still got a perfect grade, but my trust issue radar went loco after I was "banned" of creative work. I'm trying to be calmer this year, since I know some people I can afford to do that, but no way in hell I'll lose that strength. In certain extent, my voice. I seemingly couldn't pronouce stuff well. It annoyed me, so I figured out the feeling might've been mutual for people who asked me to repeat myself again.

Drasiana
Most of my weird tics are stuff only I notice (picking obsessively at my fingers, for instance) though I apparently have a habit of accidentally intimidating people. I range from being ridiculously facially expressive to being the most stoic motherfucker on the planet and, in combination with the fact that my eyes are nearly black, when I'm in stoic-mode I apparently make people nervous. It's really funny because there's really nothing physically intimidating about me but whatever. I am really fucking disorganized though.
Cage Blackpaw
One thing other people have noticed is that I use "heh" a lot (particularly through texts or IMs). And, apparently, when I say that, it means I don't entirely agree or am not entirely satisfied but don't want to outright say so. That's according to the friends who pointed it out to me. One thing I've noticed is whenever I'm in class and I answer a question or add to a discussion, I'll pick up my pen and just fiddle with it while I talk, then once I'm done I set the pen down. No one's said anything, but it bothers me that I do it. lol (It doesn't help that I can never really get my thought across the way I intend it.) Arashikage
I have the tendency to be very socially awkward . I don't do well in big groups because when I talk I tend to talk over people or do something to halt conversations that I have absolutely no opinion on . I never liked it, and have gotten better at fixing it but I still struggle sometimes . There's also the fact that I tend to crack my knuckles, and bite my nails as was previously stated, the former of which nobody talks to me about . Faisul
I'm basically Prince Procrastinator. If there's something needing done and I don't want to do it, I won't do it until just up to the crisis point. Cleaning, coursework, fixing stuff in the apartment... Once, I slept on my couch for three months because I hadn't put bedsheets on my bed. Yeah.

Snys93
...Prince Procrastinator. All hail thee. - I've got something to add. When I'm at the drive-thru window, I tend to talk fast and in code. Example: "I'd lika numbr 5 justa burgr, no mayo, no combo, mid size DP with sides of nuggets, 10 piece." Drive-thrue lady: "Err...what?"
Fana McCloud
I have a hard time speaking up and interrupting when I should, nor do I insist on things when I should. I think my earliest and most embarrassing memory of this was a time in music class back in grade school where I asked to go to the bathroom, was told to hold it till after the next piece, and then proceeded to piss myself and the chair while we played it. I didn't know how to and still have occasional difficulty insisting against someone's commandments or wishes when it's important like that. I guess it's because I have this aversion to imposing on people to the point of it being unhealthy. Das ist why I identify with Fluttershy so much, because she reminds me of my younger self. In more recent history, I ran my car out of gas while chauffeuring one of my clients around because they told me to fill it up "after these few things" and I never had the wherewithal to interrupt when I knew it wouldn't putter on anymore. She knows not to do that anymore needless to say. XD
tupelocase
I have this extremely weird habit of rubbing my lips against the back of my hands when under duress, focusing intently or just bored. It mostly just weirds other people out to the point of absurdity and thankfully has negligible effects on my performance as a human being. And as a plus, the backs of my hands are unbelievably smooth now. Egh.. That looks weird typing it.
Princely
i mumble 99% of the time when i speak...most people have to ask me to repeat what i say. answering more than once is irksome for me, as i already have a fair amount of social anxiety, and i'm sure it's a bother for the people i choose to converse with. The Shaper
answering more than once is irksome for me Yeah, having to repeat yourself is a real pain in the ass for me as well for some reason. Especially since... Apparently I talk too loud.

Prince Elite
I don't bite my nails, but I do pick them and due to it being a slow and noisy process, it annoys everyone around me. I also use words that nobody else understands and thus they think I speak weirdly, tch.
Gestalt
To add to a laundry list, I am thoroughly convinced that my body is a musical instrument. It would, probably, really bothers those who don't live around me on the regular basis. I whistle and hum and beat on just about everything, since an instrument isn't always around. But know, my whistle is articulate and high pitched. I vibrate, crescendo, slur, and trill my notes all while waving my hands about like a dumbass. My favorites are Double Bach Concerto 1st mvt. and Palladio, but most of the time its just something I make up. You can also tell my mood -that is- if i'm joyful, sad, or angry by the subconscious music I make to myself. I dunno sometimes words won't do me justice.
