psy_commando
I can't believe nobody brought this up today ! I don't know in your respective timezones, but in mine Starfox is 20 years old ! So yeah, happy birthday Starfox ! It seems Nintendo forgot about SF again.. Has anybody spotted anything around the web mentioning this ?
someguy63-
Nope, nothing yet. Anyway, Happy 20th Anniversary to one of my favorite gaming series. Hope it will continue to last for um... another 20 years at least.
IArmoredSnowWhiteI
I've been celebrating already. I did a StarFox marathon from Starwing till StarFox 64 3D. And made some tributes and stuff. Hopefully this event will continue E3 2013!
Prince Elite
It also happens to be the birthday of my arch rival, such a shame that the day is stained for me with that. Nonetheless I will engage in a game of Lylat Wars in celebration! Viva Star Fox

DZComposer
Technically, it would have been Japan time (UTC +9), since this is the Japanese release date we're talking about.

LoneWolf
Neat! Love the games still, though they need to make a game soon to keep the franchise alive. Who knows, though. E3's coming up, so.
Gestalt
A year ago, this would have totally psyched me out. Nintendo...I'm losing faith in you.
manthony_Higgs
McCloud still isn't old enough to go barhopping. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cuf9dM_LgCs
TCPeppyTc
But he can just ask Falco or Bill Grey to hook him up lol. hmmm 20 years of Starfox. Hopefully another better Starfox game is in the works... fingers crossed....
Hidi
I thought by at least Assault/Command he would be....Well I don't think we need our fearless Arwing-pilot leader bumbling around drunk any time soon. It's better someone gets Star Fox off its butt soon and bring it back to life. Hey, I think Star Fox 64 3D did moderately well. So what if Ocarina of Time 3D sold more? I think Nintendo has a lot of catching up to do in terms of innovating some new games, but it's always occurred to me that Star Fox is one of Nintendo's few remaining franchises that has not had its life sucked out of it through too many games. There's still a ton of potential within Star Fox.
psy_commando
I've been celebrating already. I did a StarFox marathon from Starwing till StarFox 64 3D. And made some tributes and stuff. Hopefully this event will continue E3 2013! Nice ! I had planned to released the LLS today, a few years back, but things didn't go as planned.. I was also supposed to make something else, but I ran out of time It also happens to be the birthday of my arch rival, such a shame that the day is stained for me with that. Nonetheless I will engage in a game of Lylat Wars in celebration! Viva Star Fox D: GET OUT OF HERE TRAITOR ! Just kidding Though, its still technically the first game that we're celebrating. It just sounds more logical to me to play Starfox snes rather than sf64. Technically, it would have been Japan time (UTC +9), since this is the Japanese release date we're talking about. Now I kinda feel stupid.. That sounds like a no-brainer now that you mention it.. Yeah! Happy anniverary Star Fox! I bought a Game Cube and the Star Fox games to celebrate this! See my reply to Prince Eltie. I hope you have sf snes in those games Hmmmm... Maybe today I should pick up a copy of SF:A to celebrate! See my reply to Prince Eltie. Neat! Love the games still, though they need to make a game soon to keep the franchise alive. Who knows, though. E3's coming up, so. Yeah, they really should. Their next move will pretty much decide the future of the franchise ! I wish Shigeru would admit that he doesn't really like working on the franchise, and that he just half-ass newer games.. A year ago, this would have totally psyched me out. Nintendo...I'm losing faith in you. Yeah, me too. I'm jealous of the treatment Zelda fans got, especially the fing Hyrule Historia book, and the orchestral concerts ! It would be soo awesome if they did a book like that for Starfox ! I have it and its full of details and concept art !
IArmoredSnowWhiteI
I still have hope, but I don't think there will be a 20th ann. StarFox Zelda: Orchestra, complete new game, golden remote, SE 3DS, history book. Mario: AllStars pak, Club Nintendo coin, SE Wii, SE 3DS, poster set. Kirby: AllStar pak (only in Japan, but there are freeloader ya know) Metroid: Nothing StarFox: Nothing? I understand that Zelda and Mario are more popular, but they can at least release a HD Classics of SFAd and SFAs, right Oh, and the new Wind Waker coming out. Complaining everywhere, so why not make that a StarFox game?

Hoping your universe will be eplrored, your characters worked and your gameplay solidified in the future! By the way, DZ, didn't you have a topic about a re-skin of the forum SNES style? What has it become?

Ala1n-J
And 18 years since the unfortunate tragedy. You're referring to Starfox 2 being cancelled, am I right? Yeah, I wish this little gem was released.
psy_commando
Let me fix that for you 20 years since the start. 20 since the barrel roll. 10 years since Blue vixen ass. 7 since the full team was at its best. 6 years since the fall. 2 years since the game that restarted it all. 20 since the fan base grew to be this all. Also, I sent a super huge email to Nintendo about the usual stuff( y u forgot 20th anniversary, make a good game, stop handing over sf to others, bring back Miyu, Fay, Fara, put sf and sf2 on the VC. And all that with a pretty big bias towards the snes continuity, Fara, along with the comics(not big surprise!) ) with a crapload of comments from around the net about people wanting another starfox game. Strangely, I tried to write as a different person, since this isn't the first time I send them mail about similar things, and didn't want to write the same things the same way ! So, I tried to write like a protesting business man, and kinda exaggerated on everything.. Though it somewhat sounds like an old lady ranting.. XD The email before this one sounded more like having been written by some naive retarded kid.. I'm not sure people would really appreciate my sense of humor, so I'll just post the answer : Hello, Thanks for writing in. It's great to see you're such a big fan of Star Fox. First, I wanted to mention that I had to remove the fan art section due to the size of the email, so this is why you'll see the bottom half missing in the response. Regarding Star Fox, unfortunately, we haven't made any announcements about a new game, nor do I have an answer to any of your questions about the Star Fox series. Therefor, we don't know who the next development team would be, or if any of the characters you've mentioned will ever be featured. Also, we haven't heard of any plans to add more Star Fox titles to our Virtual Console; however, rest assured that all of your feedback will be documented and passed along to our other departments here at the company. We often hear from excited fans asking if a particular game or product is going to be announced. I don't want to dampen any excitement you feel, but I want to make it clear that until Nintendo makes an official announcement of a particular game or product there is nothing we have to share about it-regardless of any rumors you may have heard or announcements from Nintendo subsidiaries elsewhere in the world. If or when we do make an official announcement about any new Star Fox games or plans to publish Star Fox comics, we will share all the exciting details on our website (www.nintendo.com). Until that happens, we appreciate your patience and ask that you continue checking the website. You know, I can totally imagine him printing the mail, handing it to someone higher up who then proceed to put the email in the paper shredder..
