StarFoxfan-FUR_ever
I guess that means we should talk about Kill la Kill again Gotta love the character development of the uniform she is wearing That being said, why is it that the thing does not just explain how it works to her? And wait WUT? Please tell me this is not the ultimate form for the most strength she will get all season, if so, it was too early to show second form for the outfit. Oh and creepy teacher is creepy. Back to AoT, it sounds like some people were upset with the season ending, why is that?

Battlechili
Number of things I'd like to say. The anime Space Dandy is set to air on Toonami on Adult Swim English dubbed in January before it airs in Japanese in Japan. That's right. BEFORE it airs in Japan. Space Dandy is from the creators of Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo. Here's a trailer:

conaly
Hi,can't really tell. Somewhere in the mid nineties there have been a few animes on TV like Sailor Moon, Saber Rider, Thunder Cats or Ganbare Kickers. Though I didn't know at that time, what an anime really is.So my first ones, where I already knew what animes are, would probably be Pokemon and Dragonball in 1999. Xortberg
Yeah, first I ever saw was probably Pokemon or Digimon, way back in the day when they were new. I don't really count those, though, since I was way too young to even know what the hell was going on. First one I ever saw and had the mental faculties to comprehend was a DBZ movie one of my friends had. Goku vs Cooler or some shit. Then there was like a 10 year streak after I got over my DBZ phase where I hated anime, then I rediscovered it with Shaman King and now I have almost no life outside of anime. Oh how the times have changed.

Meiryu no Shugan
i know a few of those series. all i can say is for anime, their good! the ones I've seen AT LEAST one episode of out of that list are DBZ, Speed Racer, Angel Beats (that was really popular at the anime club my old school had), Soul Eater(that was a riot! ), Pokemon (LOTS of that!), ThunderCats, Shaman KIng, and Digimon. Iv'e heard of Sailor Moon, but I more or less focus on shounen stuff mostly. more of an action + comedy guy. BTW here is another: out of what you've seen since, which is your fave? Xortberg
I would collect all sorts of anime swag, if I wasn't a massive poorfag. As is, the only thing I have is this Madoka keychain: And as for my favorite anime? Gurren Lagann, easily. I find it difficult to believe that anything'll ever take its spot. Kill la Kill might end up doing that, but it'll have to work really hard to do so.
Talyl Landmaster
I have a replica Edward Elric pocket watch and a Bakugan poster (I'm not a fan of Bakugan, I just won it at a carnival or something), but thats all.
Meiryu no Shugan
Gurren Lagann... to be honest i haven't heard of that one before but am now curious. I'll be sure to check it out. My top 5 are: 1. Bleach (BAN-KAI!!!!!!!) 2. Naruto (both series) 3. Robotech: the Macross Saga 4. Inu-Yasha 5. Infinite Stratos Fullmetal Alchemist (the manga) iguess could be #6. Xortberg
Gurren Lagann is basically one giant homage to all the super robot genre anime that came before it. It's an utterly ridiculous journey full of manly hot blooded men (and women), giant drills, and basically making the impossible possible just by not acknowledging the possibility of failure. It has an awesome cast of characters, sweet robot designs, and also an amazing English dub, and that's basically the fewest possible words I can spare. I could rant for quite a long time about how much I love this show (and I believe I have in this very topic in the past). In short, it's absolutely amazing and I recommend it wholeheartedly, especially since you say you enjoy action and comedy. Those are two areas where Gurren Lagann will not disappoint. jeth
My favorite anime... That's a tough one. I might just agree with Xort on this, Gurren Lagann is pretty freaking awesome. But on the other hand I'm really Liking Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood... Gah! Decisions!

Xortberg
Okay, so, Kill la Kill. New episode today, and it was good and I probably should be all excited to talk about it, but I have something else pressing on my mind right now. A theory, supported by very little but still interesting enough that I wanna get it out there and see if other people agree with me/ potentially have proof that I called it if it does come true. It's potentially spoileriffic, so into the spoiler tags it goes Okay, so I think Life Fibers are people. They are the anime version of Soylent Green. Why do I think this? Well, two main reasons: This is a freeze frame of when Mohawk dude was talking. Since this woman was apparently trying to advocate the coexistence of humans and superclothes, it seems to imply that she was trying to wear a Kamui and couldn't control it, like what almost happened when Satsuki put on hers. As a result, we see that she's literally being unraveled here. Like I said, we've seen that Satsuki probably would've been eaten alive if she hadn't been able to force Junketsu under control, and whenever we got to see Ryuko's transformation from an outside POV, it was pretty gruesome looking, with Senketsu getting all big and ugly and eating her before spitting her back out in her super form. The thing that made me even think of this idea, though, was this: Forgive the low quality screencap, I just pulled it from Youtube. Anyway, that's from the OP, where we see what seems to be Life Fibers reeeeally close up. Now, it could just be all symbolic about how the bonds of friendship are what give you the strength to fight, buuuut... The Life FIbers need blood. They apparently try to eat whoever puts them on. Hell, even their name is a little bit suspicious. Where would fibers get life? Maybe from PEOPLE. And as a bonus "if this theory is right, here's my other theory" Senketsu is Ryuko's dad. Maybe not ALL of him - after all, we've seen that Ryuko remembers finding her dead father so that she could swear vengeance - but maybe he knew that the Kiryuins were after him and put a little bit of himself into the Kamui he was working to create. That's why Senketsu has never once gone berserk and tried to hurt Ryuko, like Junketsu did to Satsuki, and why he's so goddamn protective of her that he'd tell Mohawk dude he'd make him regret hurting Ryuko even after it was clear he had no more power in the fight. Those parental instincts kicking in. So yeah. All this has now been documented, so it any of it turns out to be right you can be sure I'll be back to brag about it. Anywho, the new episode. Um... dat opening scene with the teacher's glowing nipples sure was something else. Also, and I run the risk of sounding like a pig here, but let me explain, it's really fucking nice to see the female characters getting the shit beat out of them in the most inelegant ways possible for once. Usually, a girl getting hurt in an anime with lots of fighting is either played for serious drama or slapstick laughs. It either gives the male protagonist something to get REALLY pissed about or it's just played off in an extremely exaggerated fashion. Kill la Kill doesn't deal with that bullshit. Ryuko WILL get beat up just as bad as any male shounen hero, and it's played just the same as if she was a male. She's just out there fighting really fucking powerful enemies, and it's the natural result. I don't see that very often and it's nice seeing it here. WOLFjr
OK, so I've started watching another new anime today. It's called 'Bodacious Space Pirates', and despite what the name suggests, there is very little fanservice in it. I'm currently on episode 5 right now, and it's really getting good. I'd say it's definitely worth checking out.
Sarita
Steve and I watched Hataraku Maou-sama! (I think the English title is The Devil is a Part-timer!) over two days and it was actually pretty nice. Considering it was 13 episodes it ended kind of... strangely, but it was really good otherwise.
Xortberg
You know, sometimes I find myself watching Kill la Kill and thinking to myself, "There's no way this could possibly get any more ridiculous." Then Gamagoori's superpower is being into bondage so much that he turns pain into a nigh-unblockable torrent of thorned whips, and tries to finish the fight with his "Ultimate Whip of Love" which is basically just a giant dick made out of whips. Seriously, if you folks aren't watching you're missing out. Hooooly shit. Also, only two episodes till we get to see my favorite character finally fight! Band-loli is best loli.
