Zelda Oracles to be released outside of Japan before summer

According to the Legend of Zelda series producer, Eiji Aonuma, The Legend of Zelda Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons have been added today to the 3DS Virtual Console in Japan.

He also announced the current plan is for both games to arrive for other regions within the next few months and the linking feature that was available with the original Game Boy Color versions will be included with the Virtual Console versions.

“The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons/Oracle of Ages are now out in Japan,†Aonuma posted to the Wii U’s Miiverse. “Our plan is to release these two games in other territories some time before summer!â€

The linking feature allowed for both stories to be connected which included both a boss battle with Ganon as the final fight and a new ending being possible.

I'll be getting both copies if I can. I'm trying to get all the games in the closest-thing-to-an-official timeline. Currently missing this, Four Swords Adventure, phantom hourglass and Spirit tracks.

Hmmm, I am conflicted.

 

I am a massive Zelda fan. Like, everyone who knows me both online and IRL immediately connects me to Zelda since it's such a huge chunk of my everything. But Seasons and Ages, I wasn't really fond of. I just didn't enjoy them as much. I played them, and I tried to put my heart into the story but I was just like "eeeh, okay then..." and was quite saddened by how much I didn't bond with those games.

I still haven't gotten to experience them, so you can expect I'll get my hands on these as soon as they release!

I never played Seasons and Ages all the way through. I own physical copies of both games, but the batteries are shot and don't save anymore. Once they come out on VC I'll be more apt to play them again and actually beat them.
