Xidphel
Basically the MLP and Anime thread but with more Super Sentai. Follow the rules here and you'll be fine. With that out of the way, latest sentai is Zyu Sentai Kyoryuger. Sounds familiar? Probably if you've heard of Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger. Turns out they lost ideas for the name possibly. I love their henshin, though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGBJlrQQ_RA Load their toy guns with a battery, do a dance and shoot up.
Dublinthefox
To be honest, I've never sat through an entirely season of any sentai. I only saw the first 15 episodes of "Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger" a.k.a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers". I knew a Facebook page that had a handful of seasons, but when I checked later, they got rid of the season list. And to sum up most of the Senati teams from the last few decades (1975-2011) for those who have never heard of the series, here they are in 1 video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRZWVIFSeRU&list=PL828F985DEC4355B1&index=
Fana McCloud
I watched Power Rangers as a kid... then I grew up. I never did quite get from watching it where these hokey super suits and mecha came from though - guy randomly descends from space and gives people powers? Riiiiiight. Maybe they butchered the original though... well okay, I KNOW they did I just don't know how badly.

Because the its original sentai counterpart was COMPLETELY different. Edited March 17, 2013 by Dublinfox

WOLFjr
I don't watch much of the original Japanese shows, but I friggin love Power Rangers. I really enjoy the suits, and I especially love the megazord battles. That pretty much is the main reason I love Power Rangers, the megazords. Dublinthefox
And for those who didn't know before, watch this opening of Zyuranger and see what is a magor chance between the original sentai and mighty morphin. This will explain some things if you've watched Mighty Morphin and didn't pay attention to the sentai stock footage. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=US6DJnk4z6Q

WOLFjr
Nostalgia Critic reviews Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. This pic sums it all: OK, that has officially become my new favorite Nostalgia Critic review. And how did I know that the green ranger was gonna be Linkara? How did I know?! Dublinthefox
As of what I posted months ago I have started watching the series. the first one I started with was Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (PR: Samurai), though I've only seen the first episode of Mahou Sentai Magiranger (PR: Mystic Force). Shinkenger was an excellent season and Magiranger was while not as good as Shinkenger, a pretty descent one too. Also I can't stop smiling at Kyoryuger's ending! It makes me want to do the dance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeWzw7s7Unw OK, that has officially become my new favorite Nostalgia Critic review. I can agree by saying that Turbo was probably the worst thing to come out of the series. One of the reason like Linkara pointed out was because the sentai Turbo was bassed off of, Gekisou Sentai Carranger, was a SENTAI PARODY which meant more silliness and slapstick and when adapted to Power Rangers they tried to make it like the others and make it more serious. Because of this, IN SPACE, which is my favorite season had a much lower budget. I'd recommend watching Linkara's commentary on Turbo in his History of Power Rangers to understand how much of a fail that season was. Also they get baked into a giant pizza........f**king seriously? I did watch Linkara's History of Power Rangers series. I have seen the Turbo one, so I am aware of why is sucked so much. Especially the pizza bit, where Linkara walks away from the mic and screams in frustration. Though if I had to guess with the ending of his most recent HOPR video, PR Mystic Force, Turbo may possibly be usurped from its position as the worst Power Rangers season in Linkara's book when it comes time to look at Operation Overdrive. Either that, or Linkara just has a deep hatred from vehicle themed Power Rangers.
Dublinthefox
Either that, or Linkara just has a deep hatred from vehicle themed Power Rangers. Its not that he had a vehicle themed hatred, it was just that Turbo was just a huge turn from what happened before. From dinosaurs, to ninja's, to the power of a crystal...to cars? For other seasons like Lightspeed Rescue, it made more sense considering the rangers were working for a government task-force, so of course they would base their zords off of vehicles. Another season that used vehicles and from what I've heard from people actually did pretty good and even better than its sentai counterpart was RPM. I haven't seen it yet but I'm curious to see why its good considering its a recent season...And by recent, I mean 2009, but once I finish what I'm watching I'll start watching that. I am aware of the understanding of why vehicles were used in Lightspeed Rescue. Maybe I should be a little more clear. I think Linkara has a hatred for vehicle themed Power Rangers that don't have a good explanation as to their existence. As said with Lightspeed Rescue, those rangers were a government funded operation, explaining why they used vehicles. Turbo didn't have a good explanation for the change from Mystic-style powers to cars. Operation Overdrive didn't really give a good reason for the existence of its rangers either. Do they really expect us to believe that one single guy, who is never seen doing anything outside of sitting at a desk and treasure hunting in the first episode, is so rich that he is able to privately fund the creation of his own power rangers team, complete with giant megazords that, in all reality, should've bankrupted him with the first zord? My apologies if this is horribly formed. I really suck at making arguments.

WOLFjr
Thats what I was trying to explain as well. I must've said it wrong. Well I think it's safe to say that argument is over for now between us. As for Power Rangers RPM, I'm in the same boat as you in that I have never seen it. It's the only PR season that I have never seen a single episode off. Though from what footage I've seen, the RPM team is the oddest group in terms of its theme. These rangers are a mix of vehicles... and animals. Their zords are vehicles for the most part, but they have these derpy looking animal faces for some reason. Doesn't really fit in with the post-apocalyptic style story. I'm just assuming in the original sentai, the zords were sentient.
