About that pop filter, I was wrong. That Steadman filter costs $70. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audio/stedman-proscreen-xl-pop-filter

Though there are pop filters in the $30 range, that particular one was more expensive.

MXL 990 with shock mount is $80, but requires a phantom power source. There is a USB version, but it costs $100 more (but it comes with a desk stand and you don't need an audio interface). Of course, there is always the option of the Shure SM57. That mic is everywhere and is cheap at $100. The SM57 is the mic that sits on the US President's podium. Also, the Blue Snowball is a pretty good entry-level USB mic with a fairly reasonable price around $70.

Note: If you use the non-USB MXL or the Shure, you will need an Audio Interface as your computer's soundcard can't handle them. Here is a USB one. NOTE: I am not familiar with it: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audio/focusrite-scarlett-2i2-usb-audio-interface

Pantyhose? Nnnnnnnot really in my line of clothing to stock. T-Shirt, sure - thank you for the reminder that I should try and fiddle around the the gain on my mic since its default tends to be very quiet.
